According to Jeff Goodman, Steve Donahue was offered and turned down the Marist HC job

I'd think more likely just offset by any new salary, but I don't know for sure.

The salary offset is a good reason.

On the other hand, he would be stepping up to a better program.

And Marist has a good rep for truth.
BC once attracted stars like Abrams, Adams, Agbai, Austin, Bagley, Barros, Bell, Curley, Driscoll, Dudley, Eisley, Evans, Huckaby, Jackson, McCready, Murphy, O'Brien, Rice, Smith, Williams, et al.

Those days are gone.

And who is responsible for that?
