The BC job is so bad, we should be kicked OUT of the ACC any day now.

I just saw this thread is still going on.

MNG has asked for media reports of coaches who have expressed interest in the job. That is normally difficult because schools do not disclose who they talk to (because such a breach would sink the AD from ever talking with another already employed coach the next time he has a vacancy in any job). For instance, no one knew that Buzz Williams was talking to VaTech until he was hired. As such, there are folks who interviewed for the job that never had their name linked in the press.

That said, using Roonie's own standard, there were DOZENS of articles about Jim Calhoun wanting the job (mainly because he used the Big East Tourney as a platform to openly campaign for it). BC let it be known that they weren't interested. I am on record as saying that this was a terrible, terrible mistake. But, it is an undeniable FACT that numerous media outlets reported Jim Calhoun (who is as "high profile" as it gets) applied for the job.

BC is a good job. Minnesota and FSU are also stupid entries on that list.

Ever ask yoursel this?

Postby MaroonNGold on Sat Jun 07, 2014 10:57 am

Look at the basketball programs of schools like Villanova, Georgetown, Notre Dame, Providence, Xavier, Gonzaga and others.

Then look at ours.

The question: how did this happen?
BC once attracted stars like Abrams, Adams, Agbai, Austin, Bagley, Barros, Bell, Curley, Driscoll, Dudley, Eisley, Evans, Huckaby, Jackson, McCready, Murphy, O'Brien, Rice, Smith, Williams, et al.

Those days are gone.

And who is responsible for that?

When a thought about BC basketball pops into your head, how many of those end up as new threads on this board?

Are you rocking close to 100% posting coverage of your random thoughts, or are we only getting the crème de la crème?

One sad indicator is that some fools blame Skinner for the failure BC hoops has become since he left,

And, oh yeah, Bush is responsible for the Bergdahl debacle - and the strangling debt our country faces, too.

Bush wasn't responsible. Barney Frank was...

Hey Roonie. How are you? I am fine.

Question: Who, in your opinion, is primarily responsible for the present state of BC basketball? If you give an answer, please give specific reasons for your answer.

Thanks. You're the best.

How can this be?

Postby MaroonNGold on Sat Oct 25, 2014 8:18 pm

ESPN ACC preseason coaches poll prediction ranks us dead last.

Don't they realized what a power we've become since canning Coach Skinner?

In 2014-15, who will play to more empty seats:

BC HOOPS,

OR

HILLARY CLNTON?
