Saying Al Skinner's teams played defense is only possible if you have seen Onahue coach. That said, recruiting a shot blocker to cover defensive issues is, in fact, defense.

After watching a segment of the tape and reading the full transcript of the press conference, IMHO we have hired an empty suit.
BC once attracted stars like Abrams, Adams, Agbai, Austin, Bagley, Barros, Bell, Curley, Driscoll, Dudley, Eisley, Evans, Huckaby, Jackson, McCready, Murphy, O'Brien, Rice, Smith, Williams, et al.

The BCGavel piece did indeed sound tongue-in-cheek. What an inspiring start! It wasn't Christian's fault that he accepted a lot of money to come to a better place. The fault was of those who made the offer. How could Bates have exposed himself to such danger?
