Received full release from BC, restricted from New England area but I'm free to go anywhere else. Thank you @BostonCollege for everything!

Why would they restrict him from anywhere at all? That's dumb.

Transfer kids, whether athletes or not, were always weirdos anyway. So long, weirdo.

Hanlan is different. If you are leaving to get paid, get paid.

You know when someone takes your picture with a flash and then you see that white spot when you close your eyes? that's what it looks like when I see chalk boy's picture.

Warn me to put on my eclipse glasses or a welding mask before you post that picture next time.

i now know why paul grant transferred to wisconsin. with their mass quantities of snow readily transferable into ball forms, it always shocked me he would head that way but now it all makes sense...

I liked Anderson. I think he was part of what was working. Forced to play out of position. Wish him best of luck.

So I take it Arizona agrees with me that Anderson is good?

That is a great program. I am glad this seems to have worked out for him. The other places he was looking at made very little sense.

The difference between BC and AZ will be a pleasant shock for Ryan.
He'll feel like he went from the beer league to the NBA.
Maybe his biggest adjustment will be playing before a full house all the time.
Best of everything for this good kid.
BC once attracted stars like Abrams, Adams, Agbai, Austin, Bagley, Barros, Bell, Curley, Driscoll, Dudley, Eisley, Evans, Huckaby, Jackson, McCready, Murphy, O'Brien, Rice, Smith, Williams, et al.

Those days are gone.

And who is responsible for that?

I didn't blow off my senior year and transfer just cause they changed the chicken Parm Sammie's in lower did I?

Let's never speak this kids name again. Adios.

Ryan Anderson is not going to like Tucson and U of A varsity life is going to eat him up. It is all well and good when you have two or three DGs smoking your pole in the hot tub Varsity Village (probably dating myself), University Heights or Scotia Court, but it is another thing entirely when you just lost to New Mexico State at McHale and a couple of drunk copper miners from Ajo who blew a weeks pay to come see the game drink themselves senseless at the Rocking Horse and decide to kick in the front door of your apartment to tell you how much you suck. Arizona may not be full blown SEC/Finebaum radio listener crazy, but its a state school in a city without any Big 4 teams and you get some real insane fucknuts fans with sixth grade educations, ample access to firearms and a lot of time on their hands. Not surprised he is already taking a sentimental journey back to BC. By February he will be despising his life and sitting at the end of the bench with this generation's version of Kevin Flannigan.

Anderson F'd up. He thinks he can play in the Association. He thinks the year off will heal his shoulder and he will kick ass in 2015/16 and then play in the pros. He may play in the pros, but it will be the Turkey/Israel league. So he goes to AZ and already knows it blows. Now he needs to be the rare spotted unicorn that plays 5 years in college then goes to the NBA. Who will Anderson guard in the NBA? Who will he post up? Who will he bang down a 18'er on? Good luck with that and enjoy the AZ diploma.

It's amazing the crappy advice these kids get...even the bright guys like Anderson. I guess nobody showed him the list of 5 year college kids in the NBA. It is so gotdamn hard to play in the NBA. You need to be a freak of nature and have a sick work ethic. Anderson is neither. He falls into the category of very nice four year college player, college graduate, and a few years overseas. There is nothing wrong with that, by the way. Nothing at all. Seriously, that is a great life. But at the end of it, it sure is nice to have a meaningful diploma and to have left a mark on a place (as he would have at BC). Now he gets a diploma with the cache of JC Penny's and he won't be remembered at all at AZ. Heck, AZ had a guy drafted in the top 5 last year and I don't remember his name.

Aaron Gordon, who will do just fine in the Not Basketball League. Otherwise agree with your point.

Anderson and I have the same chance of being a useful NBA Player. Unathletic, undersized and unwilling to play defense won't impress a ton of GMs.
