I'm certainly underwhelmed, but honestly who knows whether Hopkins or Amaker would do a better job? Besides the obvious Tier 1 guys like Pearl and Howland, I think it was pretty much a crap shoot list of coaches. Amaker wins at Harvard because he's allowed to recruit better athletes than the ones Dartmouth can recruit. Hopkins has zero head coaching experience and currently recruits for a school that gets 30,000 fans.

Again, I'm not excited, but I would not have been excited about Amaker, Hopkins, Schmidt, Ferry or any of those guys.
