Not a knock on the women's BB ball team at all, but I have literally spent more time watching them this year than the men's team. I was obsessed under Skinner, and stupidly hopeful under Donahue. Now, I turn on a game and they're usually down a dozen or so points at home. what's on netflix?

no need to defend jc but spaz took over a program coming of 2 acc cg's and acc bball >>> acc fball

IRregardless, he should've been fired last year

Ex-Dukies will litter the candidate list... from Amaker to Hurley to Wojo to Collins to Dawkins to TRE’s Paulus. Otherwise we are looking at the likes of AngryDick’s JT3.

If we aren’t shocking the world with a Beilein hire, this is the shit we’re left with. This and crapshoots from mid-majors or no head coaching experience.

Someone asked why Smart... it’s about fit. I think Shaka’s system involves a level of buy-in throughout the roster that may be hard to accomplish with elite recruits. But, may be possible with the scrappy, under-the-radar types that BC used to get under Skinner (Sidney, Harley, Hinnant, etc). For the record, I also like Grant despite his failures in the SEC.

What if Jarmond is hamstrung by the current state of NCAA basketball and can't fire JC for the next two months? Maybe the virus will end up giving us another year of JC.

Eventually things will return to normal including JC being unemployed.

I agree that they won't fire him while all this is going on. It would be impossible to conduct a coaching search right now anyway.

And the least accomplished. Wake overpaying for Danny Manning is their problem. I don't want BC to be cheap, but I also don't want them to overpay for bad coaches.

i wonder how much the impending recession + possibility of no college football season (hence limited tv $$) had on this

thamel wrote an article on this today

@julianbenbow
Boston College will keep head coach Jim Christian. BC finished with a losing record for the fifth time in Christian's six seasons. AD Martin Jarmond said, “There is so much uncertainty right now with everything. You need to be steady and you need to have calm in uncertain times.”

@julianbenbow
Jarmond and Christian met face-to-face this morning. (They stayed six feet apart and used hand sanitizer when they left).

@julianbenbow
They both expressed their outlook on the program. Jarmond gave his evaluation and expectations. Christian laid out the ways he felt the program could be better supported.

They then participated in COVID-19 oral sex by standing 6 feet from each other and yelling "FUCK YOU!!!" until each of them reached climax.

that seems a bit more graphic than needed in these trying times.

p&s - i am now starting a theory that jim christian started the coronavirus in a lab (and borrowed spaz's old lab coat to do it)
