how does this class stand in the ACC? country? seems like another good one. felder and heath are both highly rated and the other two are sleepers
with good looking shots.

55th in the country, near the bottom of the ACC, but ahead of a decent amount of other P5 teams. As with football, this class is probably underrated because rankings are based on clicks to an extent (Felder might be a 4 star had he committed to Bruce Pearl at Auburn, Jay Heath might have been had he committed to Georgetown)

The flyers are good in my opinion too. Rishwain had a Wichita State offer and a Utah offer, and I'll give Lou Williams' son a chance any time.

With Spinelli on staff, I don't see the recruiting as nearly as much of a problem as it had been. They are pretty good at getting kids with decent offers and finding undervalued kids.

Isn’t recruiting still a major problem? We have no depth and start JC Reyes at center.

There are still roster issues, and it's taken too long but two more classes like the 2018 and 2019 should make a pretty good roster. I'm not excusing us being where we are, just saying that it's improved

Felder, although slightly undersized at 6'6", has an impressive offer list.

Jay Heath's offer list is good as well. Kudos to the staff for getting guards who turn out to be solid contributors.

I take it that these 4 is it and there won't be a center or a bigger power forward added at a later date?

i think there are roster issues but over the past couple of classes the recruiting has picked up. if they could convince ky to stick around (maybe he wants to play with his cousin), would be a decently deep roster.

G: Ky, Tabbs, Heath, Herren, Hamilton, Rishwain
Wing: Steff, Hamilton, Felder, Williams, VBJ
C: Pop, JC

edit: still no clue what the asst from ohio does

A big part of our depth problems come from early departures. The recruiting has been decent but they don't have the three of the top four players that should be in our senior class. I just hope we can hold on to the players in the freshman class along with the recruits for next year.

The depth problem is with bigs. Robinson, Turner and Milon still being in the program don't solve that problem.

This is sorta where I am. You really shouldn’t be using guys like VBJ in this conference

He had reclassified from 2019 to 2018 and joined as a preferred walkon. I am not sure he was on anyone's radar concerning BC. Really happy for him and I like how this story is starting to unfold. :ace

since we are really struggling with depth and acc quality players this season, does anyone know how next years recruits are doing this year so far?
looks like freshmen class is going to be solid contributors, need some more depth.

Our HC is looking down the barrel of a 4-14 type ACC season after going 0-18 a few years ago. Unless you think they’re giving JC year 6 (he is currently 13-59 in ACC play) next years recruits aren’t relevant.

These contracts are irrelevant. You know that.

Under Leahy they are not. He is no longer willing to pay coaches not to be here. The Mexican Standoff with Dazoo shows were we are. We would rather have him as a known lameduck (i.e. no extension entering the last year of his contract). Once Daz realized that he wouldn't be fired and wouldn't be extended, he acquiesced to the PR "extension". In notable contrast, Jimmy Mac's extension was the real deal. He's your coach through 2021 unless he leaves for a MAC gig before then.

The concerning part of all of this is that Jarmond completely bought into the Jimmy Mac Experience. Basketball is Jarmond's sport and he wholeheartedly believed that Chrisitan had turned the corner. It sure as hell doesn't bode well for when he has to make a major hire in a sport he doesn't have nearly the experience in.

I am fine with keeping Christian for next year given the four recruits we have coming in. I don't want to go through another rebuild and think it's better long term to keep for at least one more season.

SOURCE: 4-star Collegiate School (VA) power forward Robbie Beran will take an OV to Northwestern this weekend, cancelling his trip to #BostonCollege. #BC is out for the 4-star forward

Northwestern over BC to play ball? That makes no sense.

It's at least possible that we aren't looking for another perimeter front court player after Williams committed. Have to think that they are holding open two spots: one for Walker and one for Girard (or Girard replacement at PG if he goes to Cuse as many expect).

No way we pass on a guy like Beran regardless of what we need at other positions. The Falzon kid from Newton also chose Northwestern over us.

And no one has heard from Falzone or his dick of a father since.

I'm somewhat interested to see how A.J. Turner does this year at Northwestern. He was always too timid while at BC.

I’ve watched Falzon play a few times in person. He struggled with injuries last year. Didn’t play a lot of minutes for northwestern. He has a nice shooting stroke but doesn’t play physical at all. He’s got 2 more years of college basketball but unless he makes a huge leap forward it doesn’t seem like he is much more than a role player.

Falzon had his best ever game for NW last night. Hasn’t done much for that program.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.inside ... erk-pardon

AJ Turner is still too timid. Besides one outlier game against DePaul, has has barely scored. He plays decent D and passes well though. BC could probably use him on this team.

BC offered 2019 PF Julius Marble from Jesuit HS in Dallas. Other offers from Michigan St, Oklahoma St & TCU.

BC also is talking with 2020 PG Santiago Vescovi from Mexico.

We are already at 15 for next year (Bowman is def gone). So that prob means JCR wont be asked back for his 5th year to get us at 13. If we are sending out offers still that means we should see some transfers. Mitchell is the only one of use in his class and these freshman next year are already going to take their minutes next year. Dont see any plans for Baker or Wilson at all and maybe they see the same.
