Not to take anything away, but looks like most of the recruiting services have him as a 3*. Still an excellent get for the staff! He can play PG too which is huge.

Welcome aboard! :angrychicken

The kid mentioned school size, academics, and the possibility of getting drafted in the lottery as factors. He's a SG.

Herren blames everyone but himself for getting into drugs.

Glad he got clean and pulled himself together for his family, but this guy can fuck off into space.

That's a nice thing to say when we're supposedly recruiting his son.

i bet you were the guy that always took back the girlfriend who cheated on you because she swore this was the last time it would happen

Stop being rude. It is unbecoming, TRE (rhymes with RV(eee)).

whatever. you probably take chris herren's side and agree that during his first week on campus that cocaine and heroin were in the closet making babies and chris herren saw one of the babies and the baby forced cocaine up chris herren's nose.

you probably also believe that jay murphy had nothing to do with point shaving and only had trouble with grades because his professors were really hard on him and gave him bad grades because they were jealous of his basketballmanship and long, thick, glistening, veiny weener

Who was his roommate?

BC made final 4 for him with Wichita State, Rutgers and Oregon

That is an odd final 4

This kid chose Oregon, he put it out on twitter a couple days ago. Hopefully it isn't that big of a loss.

So Herren isn't on an Athletic scholarship this year and they missed out on another one of their targets. Any news on what they are going to do with the last scholly?

Been scouring for news but can't come up with anything. I'd say we need another guy that can handle so we don't implode when Bowman sits. Not sure if Tabbs is up to that task or not.

Jared Hamilton once he’s ready can fill that role along with Tabbs.

Yeah, had a breakout in Vegas. Been impressed with the BC staff getting on these kids early. Looks like he's taking his time to make the decision. Lists academics is a big part of the decision.

https://www.prephoops.com/2018/07/recru ... bie-beran/

“It really comes down to three things as I try to keep it in three categories and I am just trying to find the best fit. The three categories are academics, academics are a huge part of my life, academics is always first. The next one is socially, whether that is getting up on campus and getting a feel for campus as well as the interaction with the players and the coaching staff. The last category is basketball, I am just trying to go in there and see what works and fits best for me.”

Robbie told us that he is in no rush to picking where he will go to school next year, “In a perfect world I would want to commit before the season, but I know the world is not perfect so I am just going to try and go through it and just decide whenever it feels right, I definitely do not want to rush this process but when the time comes, I know, I will know it.”

Do we have a slot available for Chris Doherty? He apparently withdrew from summer school at Notre Dame because he is homesick and has gone home to Massachusetts. Still claims he will return to Notre Dame on August 20th—when the fall semester begins—but I have my doubts. He is missing ND’s overseas summer tour. Seems that there is a pretty good chance he takes a pass on ND. Would love to have a 6’8” pound power forward who has been compared to “Gronk on the hardwood”.

Wouldn't there be a two year wait because he would be an in conference transfer? Another draw back of letting ND in the ACC for everything but football. I didn't understand it in the Big East and I don't understand it now.

It's super frustrating seeing this team struggle to bring in a 5th year guy. They coul at least use another big and ball handler so it's not like they are limited by position. They are really close to being a tournament team and this is Bowmans last year here barring something unforeseen. I feel like we could just be wasting our best shot at the post season.

There is a ton of competition for these 5th year guys and they’d play a small role on this team most likely.

I hear that but we are like 7 deep and that's after the older Hamilton returns. I see that open roster spot as an unused asset, even if it was a guy that played lesser minutes it could help. No remotely proven second ball handler and every backup big is questionable at best.

BC isn’t a sexy destination for these 5th year kids with Bowman still here.

They need both the freshman to be good because there is a lot of dead space on this roster.

Idk what to make from this, but some on the Syracuse board think its coming down to BC and Cuse. The above article also suggests that Penn State may bring him in to throw for a potential FB scholarship, although I would think that is a long shot as they have 2 QB's committed for 2019 already and the FB/BB mix is not one where you can throw in an offer to play as a sweetener (as baseball may be because of the season differences)
