Prediction: Boston College

Not sure as to the validity of this person or his access, but interesting nonetheless. We should know 1/11/18 at 7 PM. Per 247, JC visited on 12/21, would be nice addition to Tabbs.

Yes, getting a 4* and 55th ranked prospect in the nation would be a nice addition.

Hamilton is apparently down to Boston College, Maryland and Mississippi State.

one of these is not like the others

Three crystal ball picks in the last day and they all predict BC. Maryland insider says they didn't go very hard for Hamilton. Would be a major get and now that I have my hopes up I'm looking forward to being disappointed.

“We didn’t want him because we realized he wasn’t coming here”.

See Aaron Falzon situation (although that was even more bizarre)

assume this is going to end in tears like usual?

its crazy, i was looking up one that i recalled ending in tears (terrell at uri)...cant believe hes a senior already. doesnt seem like it was 4 years ago. can believe hes averaging 18 on the best team in the a-10

For those looking for a sign on Jarius Hamilton tonight. His brother is currently in the bc directory as a transfer student starting this semester. They were considered a package deal in jarius’ recruitment

Idk his eligibility however. He played a year at jacksonville st then transferred, which means he sat out last season. I don’t believe he played this year at GaSo so I assume he’s immediatley eligible with 3 years left since he already sat out a transfer year and hasn’t played since ?

Edit: nm, looks like he did play 1st half of this year, not sure what that means from a transfer/sit out perspective

I thought Maryland was the favorite, but looks like they had an unusually good class and recruited over him.

I won't feel good until it's official, but I'll give the staff massive props if Jairus Hamilton comes to BC. He's exactly the type of player we need with our strong backcourt that is adding Tabbs (still would like to see us land a PG). I've been very critical on JC, but he'll earn another year with Hamilton.

A HUGE get for BC. The offer sheet is insane and his skill set seems to be just what this team needs. A great job done by the staff.

What do you mean by "their". The staff or the program? If it's the former, yes. If it's the latter, definitely not.

Great get. There's a number of videos out there. He isn't a SF. The kid is physical in the blocks but has a decent handle and some quickness. He's a PF in the mold of Cookie Monster. He is the aggressive, rebounding forward we've long lamented this program not having. Mitchell, Tabbs and him form an excellent nucleus. Sadly, I don't see any way Bowman returns. But, that would be a hell of a team if he, Chapman and Robinson were all back next year.

I know espn isn't the be all end all but bowman isn't in the top 100 of draft eligible players (at this point). Would highly doubt he left unless he got a first round pick guarantee.

barring a late season collapse, which is hardly outside the realm of possibility, I think the core is back next year.

FWIW, the NBA mock draft doesn't have him in the first 2 rounds. Can you see him as a starting PG for an NBA team next year?

No chance. His ball-handling, decision making and jump shot aren’t close.

I could see Robinson leaving.

I think you guys all have a view of BB that is from a decade ago (which is understandable as that is the last time we were relevant as a program). But, all-conference players don't stay for 4 years. In the sport, there is a stigma about still being on campus as a Junior or Senior. It has absolutely nothing to do with whether he is good enough for the NBA right now. He isn't. But, he is a candidate to get paid overseas or in the G League. To most, that is more valuable than losing in the ACC and being forced to attend class.

This team plus Hamilton and Tabbs wouldn’t do a ton of losing in the ACC next year

As much as I’d like to take credit for that Owens shot, a D1 Coach in the Boston area told me that on a flight while discussing BC Basketball.

I take credit for Captain Checkdown though.

JC was in Albany tonight to see Joe Girard again, he scored 50+ for 4th game in a row.

If they could land an early '19 like him have to think this helps JCs job even more

At this point it's very difficult to see Christian not coming back next year. I think we'd have to lose every game left

In fact, if we make the NIT I wouldn't be shocked to see an extension of a year or two
