It's pretty obvious that this player is a walk-on for Boston College. I'm sure Christian cares but the program is dead. The staff is out pounding the pavement without any juice. Next year is his last year.

This is a total shitshow. I disliked the Jim Christian hire from the start, but he has managed to underperform every low expectation I had of him. Honestly, I don't even think his recruiting would be considered good if he got these same guys at Ohio. It's like he doesn't even care anymore.
I supported the Skinner firing at the time it happened, but Donahue then was easily worse making us wish we still had Skinner. Then comes Jim Christian who has somehow managed to be worse than Donahue.
Put Donahues recruits in the same ACC that Christian is dealing with today. You know what you get? Same results as Christian or more than likely worse.

My guess is Vin Baker II, in which case stealing him from Bryant would be huge for our Patriot League desires.

IMPORTANT FACT: In the NERR 2018 rankings, Baker (#40) is ranked 2 spots ahead of BC football commit and #42 Joey Luchetti.
The only player on the list currently listed as committed to another school is the #12 player, 6'10" Filip Petrusev, who is committed to Hartford.
This is a joke and a half.

If BC had a few Top 150 kids commmitted for 2018, this wouldn't be a disastrous situation. He has guard skills at 6'8", which as he figures out basketball could make him a good player.
With that said this is nothing more than a Sagay type project offer.

He grew several inches in the last year, he has perimeter skills, his dad will probably hang around the program which is good because he is an NBA player people will have heard of
As far as kids you are gonna find in May, I think there's a lot of upside here.

2018 SF Cole Swider (NERR #5) cuts list to 8.
Xavier, Creighton, Indiana, Michigan, Miami, Cuse, Nova and PC make the list.
We remain in great shape for the elite 2018 class.

I highly doubt the kid had an outstanding offer from Wichita State but as I said a month ago when we offered him, I like the way he plays under control at his size and I think he could be a sleeper.
There's roughly 50 minutes a game by my estimate up for grabs at the wings (barring grad transfer), looks like we're going to throw Sagay, Kraljevic, Baker, Mitchell, and Meznieks into the pot and see which 2 or 3 prove to be the best. Lots of interesting guys with upside there (and good height).
