It seems like Robinson is most comfortable creating offense with the ball in his hands and having another Eli Carter-esque ball handling presence might force him to the 2, where he doesn't have the outside shooting or defense to justify. Maybe Graves, Robinson, Diallo, Turner, and (fill in make believe athletic/rebounding 4) will play up-tempo style next year and render this moot, but I have my doubts
That all being said, Graves needs to start and be a factor day one if we want to get out of this pathetic cycle of losing in 2016-17. Every freshman sans Robinson has been anywhere between average ACC freshman to an underachiever and a few of the efforts (like ND) were complete embarrassments.
I don't seen how Robinson at the 2 is anything but the best possible place for him. Remember, he's 6'5 and hopefully won't always weigh less than pornopiglia so the defense should get better. His shot looks decent when he takes it and I'm not sure that the weave and heave is giving many good looks. Also, his ability to drive doesn't necessarily require him to start with the ball in his hands, I think it just seems that way because if Carter brings the ball up he will have already shot from 48 feet before Robinson has an opportunity.
