One of these schools has academic standards. 3 do not.

My assumption was mentioning BC was just lazy filler for his piece because it's a local major team. If he wants to be closer to home I don't get the ASU/Hurley rumors.

He's be a fantastic addition. He's basically Diallo and I'll take as many of those guys as we can get.

He would be eligible to play 2nd semester next year I would think

Ty Graves will be playing against the top PG in the 2016 class tonight in Lonzo Ball. Will be interesting to see how he does, giving up 6 inches.

With Graves here, Robinson and Turner will be completely different players, in a good way

Carter is starting to figure out this PG thing

Tough game to gauge this kid. Probably a starter next season.

If you ignore the hideous style of basketball, he's easily the best recruit I've seen in 10 years commit to BC.

Better than Reggie Jackson or Rakim Sanders?

If Graves is as good as any of the best recent recruits (i.e. Hanlan, Anderson, Jackson, or Sanders) I think he'll already be the best player on the team next year, kinda like Bell when he was a freshman, just being the leader from day 1.

He's fantastic but remember he's still really small and skinny. Think of a taller version of Jordan Daniels with a better jump shot. He's also a better passer.

a 5th year PG would be advisable, though not as necessary as a big

While BC needs all the talent they can get, I'm not sure how Graves and Robinson will mesh in the backcourt. It seems like Robinson is most comfortable creating offense with the ball in his hands and having another Eli Carter-esque ball handling presence might force him to the 2, where he doesn't have the outside shooting or defense to justify. Maybe Graves, Robinson, Diallo, Turner, and (fill in make believe athletic/rebounding 4) will play up-tempo style next year and render this moot, but I have my doubts

That all being said, Graves needs to start and be a factor day one if we want to get out of this pathetic cycle of losing in 2016-17. Every freshman sans Robinson has been anywhere between average ACC freshman to an underachiever and a few of the efforts (like ND) were complete embarrassments.

I don't seen how Robinson at the 2 is anything but the best possible place for him. Remember, he's 6'5 and hopefully won't always weigh less than pornopiglia so the defense should get better. His shot looks decent when he takes it and I'm not sure that the weave and heave is giving many good looks. Also, his ability to drive doesn't necessarily require him to start with the ball in his hands, I think it just seems that way because if Carter brings the ball up he will have already shot from 48 feet before Robinson has an opportunity.

Im told a 5th year big is the biggest focus for this upcoming class. More so than trying to get another freshman recruit

i have no reason to doubt you. just makes me curious- how early on do coaches start reaching out to potential 5th years? seems a little risky when they are playing for another team at the same time

Not LDE but the coaches arent allowed to recruit the player by talking to them directly. However, the BC coaches certainly talk to the player's former AAU/Prep coaches and/or the Players Parents. A lot of times it's actually a representative from the player who contacts a school to gauge interest. Hell when Donhaue was here Alex Oriahki's dad called BC during the season and told the staff that he was transferring and interested in BC
