Someone saved me the trouble of listing all of the contradictions in lde's transfer rumors, so it is unnecessary to respond. Just go read a few posts up. LDE would have been "reliable" had BC landed anything from 0-3 transfers at any combination of positions.

The hoops weirdos are so desperate to have (a) a ray of hope and (b) someone connected to the program posting in their circle jerk that they will believe anything, including rumors that you will be happy with some upcoming news out of Houston.

This staff is pretty decent at roster management. The whole coaching basketball thing leaves room for improvement.

Just my impressions. I will type them out. This class will probably be smaller than the last two. Assuming one undergrad transfer, which I think is a fair expectation, we'll have 5 open scholarships for next year. I predict 1-2 grad transfers, most likely a 4 and possibly another 5, depending how good our younger big men are. That leaves at most 4 incoming freshmen, and possibly as low as 2, if we want to leave a spot open. Who are we targeting? Based on what I can gather, the top priority is Santos-Silva as a 5. He has also visited Providence, Temple, and BU, but Providence has another 5 in the 2017 class so they might not be a strong threat. He plays at Vermont Academy now but he used to be at Bridgewater Raynham so he's a local kid. He put up big numbers for BABC but he hasn't gotten big offers, which I would assume is because he's only 6'7 and is "roly-poly." I think he would be a good pickup for us in a Moneyball-like "we need exploit market inefficiencies and take flawed recruits" type of way. I also think they want, in a perfect world, another tall wing (Sagay/Turner type) and a guard who can shoot 3s (not sure we need a pure point type in this class). In 2018, as far as I can tell, the priorities seem to be 2 taller guards, AJ Reeves and Cormac Ryan (who we have been assured is not good). Reeves is a top 50 player who will get lots of attention from the name schools. Ryan is not highly ranked (yet), but has schools like Michigan and Indiana interested. Both of these guys may end up being pipe dreams. Reeves' prep school is Brimmer and May which is walking distance from BC. Take everything I say as gospel until Long Distance Eagle comes on to say more.
