I don't think anyone on Jimmy Mac's team last year did much passing.

There are many different possibilities of transfers and 5th years being considered. Much of it will occur over a longer rather than shorter period of time. The roster as it currently exists could still be changing. And SBT is undergoing somewhat of a transformation, though that is always subject to change.

I'm just tired of all the negative attitude around here. Posters complain because the talent on the court isn't good enough but then complain that the talent we're looking at isn't good enough either. It's like we don't recognize that we need a 6'4" pencil thin shooter that ranks as the #7 sophomore in all of Massachusetts. It's just as bad as the football posters that complain about getting a local QB that set all the Mass high school records.

I think some people around here need to put some faith in the talent development our coaches are so known for. You can't look at this past year because both the football and the basketball coach arrived on campus mere minutes before their respective seasons started but in 4 or 5 years these guys are going to be a force to be reckoned with as they battle for the conference 0.500 title year-in and year-out.

I think we've had a pretty good recruiting year, and hopefully that continues in the future. I don't blame anyone for being negative after the way things have gone since Skinner was fired, so I can understand people's reluctance to give the current coaching staff time but that's really our only option. The school will never go out and pay for a sure thing at coach, and while it's possible that Christian isn't right for this level we might as well support the team. Cormac Ryan doesn't excite me from looking at his highlights, but maybe when Nic Stauskas was 16 I wouldn't have been impressed by him either.

The greater point is that this incoming class is a step in the right direction, and losing transfers doesn't feel good but those players weren't the taking us back to respectability anyway. Give Christian a chance until he proves he's the wrong guy, Jay Wright ain't walking through that door, Bruce Pearl ain't walking through that door, etc.

BC offered local 2017 PF Marcus Santos-Silva today. 2* with a weak offer sheet so far (Wagner, Texas St., Southern Conn St., Depaul, Siena).

6'7", 240.

For those who don't feel like clicking, he has offers from Arizona & Louisville, along with half-dozen other schools.
