I think he's a good player, and at the right level of competition he'd be fine. The ACC is not the right level of competition.

If the players remaining aren't good, then take no one in 2014. That's a better strategy than throwing offers out to mid-major players. We already have plenty of mid-major players on this roster.

Citing the one or two players who are 5'10 and stars in the ACC does not validate the argument.

Obviously, BC has almost a 0 shot at getting any top 20 guys, but building relationships is always a good strategy even if it means taking an under recruited player who may not be some kind of star in the making in order to help your chances of landing a potential star in the making.

Plus, hell if this kid is good enough to be the POY on a team with kids so highly regarded as the three top 150 guys then I'm down.
