Doc Rivers is a good place for Dudley to land.

When I followed the NBA in the 1990s, if someone told me that moving from the Suns to the Clippers would be much better for a players' playoffs chances, I would have thought they were crazy. Even three years ago, that idea would have been nuts.

Suns get the best player in that deal. They have to be considered the winner as a result. The Clips, however, just picked up 2 players who will fill ideal roles for a team with Paul and Griffin.

San Diego Clippers are nice and close to original home for Duds. As a Clipper fan, this is just fantastic news. Great fit for Reddick and Duds.

Doc will force Griffin and, especially, D. Jordan to grow the hell up. I've long been in favor of breaking these two knuckleheads apart as they are boys off the court and the might not be good for one another. Doc will force them to man up. D. Jordan should be twice the talent of Kendrick Perkins.

Clips have a real shot next year if they can figure out how to score in the half court. Not sure that has been fixed entirely yet. Griffin and Jordan have jack in the post, leaving CP3 and J. Crawford to go ghetto one on one for buckets.

Reddick not a bad player, but the better deal would have been to somehow bring Ariza into the mix for his D and ability to penetrate (and shoot well too).

"The Los Angeles Clippers have traded swingman Jared Dudley to the Milwaukee Bucks for swingman Carlos Delfino, center Miroslav Raduljica and a future first-round pick, a league source told Yahoo Sports.

Dudley, who averaged 6.9 points in 23.4 minutes per game last season, had fallen out of the Clippers’ plans and is owed $4.25 million each of the next two seasons, but has a player option for 2015-16. Dudley, 31, was a double-digit scorer from 2010-13 with the Phoenix Suns.

Delfino, 31, is owed $6.5 million for the next two seasons — with a team option for 2015-16 — but missed the 2013-14 season because of a right foot injury. He is expected to miss part of the 2014-15 season as he recovers from the injury, a league source told Yahoo Sports.
"

Stinks for Dudley as he is trading a good team in LA for a terrible one in Milwaukee.

Not surprising that Doc "throw 5 guys out there and leave them" Rivers couldn't find minutes for a true bench glue guy.

Dudley's talents will be even more wasted in Milwaukee, he's a glue/intangibles guy, and a bottom five team has no need for that, not to mention he plays pretty much the same position as their two best assets, Giannis and Parker.

If his insistence on starting Alan "who the fuck is this guy" Anderson last year is any indication, Kidd will probably play J Duds a lot.

Dudley may start if Jabari begins his career as a PF. but then again, they also have Larry Sanders and John Henson. it's Jason Kidd, so who knows.

Got a hip hop hug from J Duds on Saturday night on Shea Field. Other board members not to be mentioned (one being rhymes with kurt) were turned down when they asked him to do a fireball shot because he brought his own. :ace

Jared Dudley

Postby BCMurt09 on Mon Sep 15, 2014 8:51 am

Was walking around Shea Field prior to the game. He was stopping by tailgates a chatting with everyone. Wished him luck in Milwaukee and then offered him a swig from our bottle of fireball, which he turned down by showing us the nips of fireball he had brought for himself.

I understand there were quite a few recruits for basketball and football, I imagine he was here to help with the effort.
