HJS {l Wrote}:This is what posted about Hamilton last month.

As far as I can tell, Hamilton is your quintessential enigmatic big man. All the skills, build and talent to be elite... but questionable head and motivation. He also has a long history of injuries. I can't find anything about his current team and whether he is even seeing regular minutes. But, the lack of court time has been a problem for him. He was supposedly sent to IMG Academy to (a) get his grades in order and (b) develop a work ethic. Hard to excel at BC without either of those. That said... at this point... if he can get in academically (big IF), he is certainly worth a flier. If the light ever goes on, he could be exactly what the team need.

Speaking of what the team needs... any chance they can as Chukwu to reclassify to 2013. We could use him immediately.

I don't know why you didn't post this on Commits/Recruiting, which is where all the discussion about Hamilton is. It seems generally agreed at this point that we should take him if we can get him.

Chukwu is an increasingly hot property, with a bunch of offers and more on the way. Just staying in the hunt for him will be tough enough, let alone persuading him to reclassify (if it's even possible).

it's almost a shame that Kelly came back, because that Sulaimon vs. Hanlan ROY race was getting interesting. now I think we turn our attention to TJ Warren, who could legitimately win it.

An ACC awards ballot with some solid analysis. Hanlan gets his vote for ACCROY and ends up 3rd team All-ACC over Anderson.

I've seen nine ballots so far and it's Hanlon- 7, Sulaimon-1, Warren-1. The Duke beat reporter from the News Observer had Hanlon 3rd, makes generally moronic analysis.

Well I hope that is true. Id really like to be wrong on this one, but I will believe it when I see it.

To be honest, Suliman is a good choice but I hate the whole superiority that the rest of the conference isn't as good as Duke so Duke games are more important argument. If a Quinn Cook tackle was called in the BC-Duke game I think we'd be hearing something different.

Olivier Hanlan is ACC Freshman of the year. No surprise there.

Several others say he is only unanimous pick to All-Freshman team...

I'm not sure but I think this guy may have jumped the gun based on the unanimous selection to the All Freshman team...Nothing yet on the ACC site

Yeah didn't realize it didn't mention that but I have to think it's Hanlan with 77 votes. The next freshmen have 63.

Yeah, I'd expect so too, but I've come around to " to believe it when I see it" in this conference...

Anyone know how Rahon did in terms of the voting for All-Freshman team? I know he didn't make it, but you'd have to think he was right up there.

With the expansion of the conference, I would like to see them have a first and second team for All ACC Rookie Team and maybe a 4th All ACC team.
