Miami @ Boston College 1/16

Miami 67, Boston College 63

Miami 12-3 (3-0) vs. Boston College 9-7 (1-1)

Kenny Kadji is a hell of a big man, the BC-scorner himself Shane Larkin has plenty of talent... but they are without Reggie Johnson, the annual BC rapist. Ever since he arrived on campus in the fall of 1996, he's been a terror to the Eagles. We could win this one. Or we could lose it in a crash-and-burn style. I've got faith in these yung'uns.

Also, there's Durand Scott. He's good, but I hear he's afraid of ghosts. And that right there is the Conte advantage.
The crowd in this snowstorm? Could surprise us.

80-69 Miami. This is a disaster match-up. Best of luck to Heckmann trying to cover Kadji.

BC's only chance is Miami comes out shooting and missing a ton of permeter shots.

Ryan Anderson can handle Kadji. The problem is, they might not be matched up. NC State was a "nightmare matchup" too. NC State was very lucky to win that game.

the matchup scares the hell out of me but the 7 point line has me intrigued. as a result, i'm putting all my faith in our 6th man

We need to attack Kadji or Gamble early, a lot. Get one or both in foul trouble.

So Heckmann is covering Gamble? That isn't going to work

Its not much different from Leslie and Howell. These guys are a little taller but much less skilled. Its certainly not a good matchup. Hopefully Clifford is feeling good today and can give us 15 minutes or more.

I'm going to be watching Rahon. I hope his atrocious last game was just one game and not a sign of him getting tired or something.

as a not really helpful point for comparison, Indiana State beat them with a starting center who is smaller than Anderson.

I'm calling a close loss. Miami 76, BC 73. I'm also calling chants of MORAL VICTORY!

Does the bookstore sell those disciple outfits? I've got good seats tonight and I want to make the Sportscenter intro.

Why is Rubin playing?

We're done without Rahon, better hope he's ok

Does Miami know there's a game tonight?

I'm saying this as one of the biggest optimists here: we lose one of our starters and we are in for a long year. A long year of, instead of what would be close games with every team not named Duke, ten point losses. Jorgenson, where you at?

Odio giving BC some awesome effort.

Please take Rahon off the court, the kid can barely walk!

The turnstile know as Lonnie Jackson.

So far so good for BC, even though Miami is playing terribly.

His energy is pretty awesome. That block was great.

For 10 minutes a game it's fine.

Definitely agreed, but this is still a Reggie Johnson less team out here. Miami has strong, experienced players. They aren't very creative which really hinders him. In fact, Larkin is really their only creative player and he had a shitty start.

Gamble is a 6th year player...6TH YEAR!!!

Kadji is a 5th year senior, his birthdate is in 1988!!!

I'm a senior this year, and I was born in 1991.
