I took a raft of shit for my opinion on Heckmann. He stinks.

Hopefully Rahon gets out of his shooting funk...I've been impressed by the rest of his game so far but it's funny because I thought shooting would be the one thing he'd be good at right away.

makes this kid (#3 overall) look like a junior high player. Not even close.

So based on gamecast, it looks like before the heckmann TO-fest, we hit a little shooting slump. Do they look fatigued like last year?

Just look for the turnovers, and you will know Heckmann is playing.

I don't think so. I think they are just off with their shots with it being the beginning of the season.

I'll be concerned if it lasts for a few more games.

No. The Heckmann turnovers were the game, and I am pissed that the Don put him in crunch time. Absolutely inexplicable.

Assuming nothing crazy happens, seems like there some definite positives to take from this. We hung around with a top 15 team and gave them a game. The freshman look good and Van Nest is a contributor. Negatives seem to be in order 1) Heckman is not good and 2) Donahuse does not accept (1). Big key is to see how we bounce back next game, as Dayton seems like someone we can (should?) beat.

Agreed with all, I see Dayton a potential loss though if they come out of this sulking. They shouldn't though.

Rahon much better player than I anticipated. He missed some open looks late but I like his decision making and confidence with the ball.

So is Van Nest. He makes good decisions and can score when open.

Hanlon looks like the real deal. He has a physical likeness of Kerry Kittles when I see him out there and he is much more poised than I would expect for a freshmen.


This team is not bad. Today is a single data point but I see vast improvement here. Baylor is ridiculously athletic and can make three's. A tough match-up.

I would be surprised if BC is not in the NIT this year.

The how we bounce back is huge.

Back to backs and this team has zero depth, can't let 1 L turn into 2

Some thoughts:
-Anderson is a man among boys out there
-Heckmann sucks
-Van Nest will be a solid contributor
-Heslip = Overrated

Watching warmups Baylor looks like an NBA team. I can't see this being close at all unless BC shoots the lights out.

(only reason it was close was that BC didn't shoot the lights out. Heckmann sits and BC makes some 3s, and the win by 15)

The box score on Yahoo doesn't count TOs. Did Heckmann have more TOs than points (4)?

Gotta love Jay Williams enthusiasm for this team. He's predicting a big upset in the ACC from this BC team. Also thinks we will finish mid-pack this year.

I hope he's right...good effort from the guys.

My take:

- Anderson is a beast
- You can see the potential Donahue sees in Hanlan. Will be excited to watch him grow this season.
- We need to hit more jumpers. Rahon and Jackson especially look off and not confident with their shots.
- Clifford looks hampered by his knee. Makes Van Ness even more important.
- I like the contributions from Odio. He's doing a good job being high energy while giving Anderson a breather.
- Really disappointed by Heckmann. He's a big reason for Baylor's big run.

We need Spaz to do something about King Minus (TM DavidGordonsFoot) , whether it's doghouse, health issues, or team rules so we wont have to suffer watching this Duetchmark.
