First half i've been able to watch so far. To me, Van Nest and Rahon were by far the biggest surprises. Hanlan will contribute a lot I'm sure and Anderson shows good progress.

While i loved being surprised by Van Nest, I barely noticed Clifford. Heckman and LoJack aren't showing any improvement either... of course this is based on almost no amount of evidence and a few beers.

At a minimum it's very encouraging to see that we have three guys that could be team leaders for several years (anderson/rahon/hanlan) and a surprise contribution in van nest. Very excited for the season

you'll have to wait for the replay on watchespn.com No way to rewind live.

unless you got dvr brah. What time EST would this have happened I can rewind.

I would hazard a guess it was about the 14 min mark. It was one of the threes that erased the 9 point deficit.

i think this is right. I don't want you to waste time looking though as it very well may not have happened. I'm watching espn3 on my work computer and it has lag and a bad picture.

If you're still hunting ESPN has Rubin hitting a 3 with 4:48 to go in the half

I think Heckmann is going to better this year and more consistent he just needs a little bit of time under him. I think Clifford will still have a great year but Van Nest is just playing well. As for LoJack...at this point I just hope he gets back his shooting.

EDIT: Heckmann is terrible.

I think gamecast is boken. There's like 8 Heckmann turnovers followed by 3-pointers in a row.

Tell me its broken.

Get Heckmann the fuck out of the game. He singlehandedly destroyed an excellent performance with no defense and three straight turnovers. That's why the Don's rotations suck.

Evidently German basketball doesn't have turnovers.

I was able to read this before and after the edit. What i was going to say before is that I think heckmann looks like less of a liability because he's handling the ball less, but i don't necessarily see improvement. Im worried about what i'm going to see once my gamecast finally refreshes

Big difference this season is the responses to going down and runs by the other team. 10-0 run, Baylor comes out in a press, and they run a couple great halfcourt sets to get back in it. Credit to the freshmen guards and the maturity.

Better defense today too. Also, Hanlan really impresses me against a very good team when he is under control.

I hate that call. Van Nest did absolutely nothing, but that is an automatic I guess "block". What a joke.

Heckmann sucks. Still. Walking turnover. Cannot believe Donahue put him in the game in crunch time.

Why the F does the coach feel the need to play him? He singlehandedly lost this game with 4 brutal turnovers leading to 10 points and huge momentum swings. People that defended him last season are stupid, he's just a bad player.
