Ryan Anderson

The kid is a beast. He really let the game come to him without forcing up shots and looks to be much stronger than last year. As gaudy as the stat line was, the points total seemed relatively effortless, due in large part to him going 11-14 from the stripe. If he can shoot 75% or better he's going to be a true force.

This raises a point: what's his ceiling this year? He's got automatic double-double written all over him already. I'm hopeful that with his improved strength he can do serious damage in ACC play. Perhaps he can go for 16-12. As much as I think improved guard play (compared to last year) will help his development, the presence of Clifford, and his ability to act as a legitimate force in the paint is probably the key to his success.

In any event, one game in and I'm optimistic.

I looked at the boxscore at halftime and was shocked by his numbers, its amazing to me how quiet he works sometimes. His pts were not as quiet in the second half.

If he puts the midrange jumper together, watch out.

He kind of reminds me of your EO posting. You've posted more than anyone but the mysterious stranger and teddy, but I never remember any of them.

Ryan Grownmanderson projects as a solid NBA 3 if he works on his outside game a but more.
