It appears this team believes they are good enough to play with anybody and for the most part I think so too. It’s so fragile though because if they start losing, they’ll probably see the writing on the wall with this coaching staff’s probable exit (if all goes poorly) so it’d be nice to see less 10-0 runs

twballgame9 {l Wrote}:This team shoots too many mid range jumpers and they don't run enough. They're also not great on defense. But the talent is better and Langford is good.
I can’t agree with this. Running with St John’s makes no sense at all

We are more talented but so poorly coached.

Won’t beat anyone playing D like this. Fortunately SJU seems like the type of squad prime for a meltdown

Ok. I will concede, let's run clock and settle for contested mid range jumpers. If this is a half court offense it is a god awful one.
BC has the athletes to run more. St John's is out of control, BC just doesn't play any defense.

Surprisingly given their height and positional issues, their interior defense has shown some ability with Scott, Felder and Mitchell. Surprisingly given their offensive talent and depth, the perimeter defense is pathetic

Felder is having a decent defensive game. Its been a rough game for Marcus Smart though.

BC would smoke this team in the half court

Why is the coaching staff letting the team get involved in a track meet?

In Year 7 this is the worst coached JC game and that’s quite an achievement

We are literally the only school in the nation who would give a coach with a 38% win percentage 7 years.

BC should be a running team. The problem is the lack of effort on defense which would be the same regardless of how they tried to score. The half court waste clock 17 footers just make the death happen slower and more assuredly.

I'm not as impressed. Plus missing 16 footers isn't slowing them down. BC has been at their best running today. Maybe SJU makes enough mistakes.

How did I know once they got within 6 that they’d take their foot off the gas? JC can coach X’s and O’s better than most coaches with a 38% win percentage but the mental toughness is just not there

SJU is a terrible out of control AAU team. We just stupidly decided to play their game

Can anyone logically explain why Jim Christian wasn't fired last year?

You can run without doing the bullshit SJU does.

I think the most depressing part is when you are not but 3 games in each year and you already know it's another year of time wasted.
Like we can't even make it competitive against shitty .500 Big East schools.

Funny how things happen when there is no coaching needed. Down 12 with 2 minutes left, just give your talent the ball and let them play.

Why foul down 2 with 43 seconds left? They shoot two anyways with the amount of fouls....
