A class of AJ Turner, Aaron Falzon, Josh Sharma, Jerome Robinson and Matt Milon would make me a very happy fan.

What about Jeremy Miller and Markis McDuffie?

Christian won't take seven true freshmen. Five at most and the rest will be transfers and 5th years. He wants more roster balance.

Nice to have some legit recruiting news since the new staff has taken over. Its been years since there's been this much action.

I realize we tease the recruiting "weirdos" here - but serious question.

Is Christian doing anything that any competent coach wouldn't do? I think its clear that Donahue simply wasn't interested in doing that aspect of his job competently but is there anything particularly good about Christian's effort or are we just happy competence is back in town?

He hired actual D1 basketball assistants. Short of that not really

He hired the right actual D1 assistants it seems like, which isn't nothing.

I am starting to have faith in the staff's recruiting abilities. If we manage to land Falzon and Sharma, this can become one of the best classes in recent history.

Falzon and Sharma, both 4*, make this a top 20-25 class no problem.

I still thinking Mitchell and Mann are possible depending on if the staff continues to push

Great week for BC recruiting. 2 big bigs bring this home.

No need for a point guard in this class?

Steve Enoch to UConn - fully expected, so it's no real disappointment, but it does tighten the screws a little more on the staff to close on Falzon/Sharma. The pessimism about those two on this board seemed to flip over to giddy optimism when Turner committed. I would put my view closer to the middle: prospects that highly rated do not come easily to this address (unlike the hockey team), but we are clearly on both final lists, and they're both very local (Falzon ridiculously so), so we're in with a strong shot, but still dependent on the thought processes of 18-year-olds (even those, like these two, who appear to have their heads pretty well together).

They may think that Hicks and/or Robinson can do the job, or that Hanlan will hang around for a full run, or that they'll pick up a transfer, or any combination of these. One thing certain is that they're not neglecting PG recruiting for 2016; by my best count, they already have offers out to eight PG prospects in 2016, most of them already recognized as blue-chip talents. If they succeed almost anywhere in this group, they'll be doing well.

I'm believe that the staff sees Robinson as a 1.

Christian putting the full court press on by visiting NMH again the other day with Spinelli. Hopefully they can close it out with Sharma taking his visit this weekend.

It's encouraging just to see them behaving like a D1 coaching staff - something painfully lacking in recent years.

question - when did the change from "donahue is much better than al skinner; it's nice to have a real coach" to "donahue was an awful coach with awful recruiting?" i feel a little like winston smith in that it feels like it was overnight and only yesterday i was being told that i was an idiot for pointing out that donahue was doing the same things as skinner... only worse in some areas.

sorry to distract you from your recruiting trophies but this seemed as good a place as any to ask
