My sources say they may have found his plane.

Wasn't he Donahue's mentor of sorts?

No... you are thinking of Fran Dunphy (formerly of UPenn now at Temple).

I like Fran McCaffrey. He won't be coming to BC, but he's a good coach. Aside for the fact that no one in a Big 5 program is coming to BC, McCaffrey's 14-year-old son had surgery (the same day as Iowa's loss in the Tourney) to remove a tumor on his thyroid that was then determined to be malignant. He has another surgery in 2 weeks to determine the next course of treatment. I seriously doubt McCaffrey is thinking about future jobs right now.

I like McCaffrey. Boston has world class hospitals, Iowa does not...

I thought of that too. But, it seems like a strange way to land a coach. That said, the entire process has been strange. Further, no outcome is more bizarre than hiring Jim Christian... yes I am already at Chris Crane level on that possibility.

Again, the EO Coaching Staff will do the job for half the price of Christian and we'll probably win more games

Not sure why anyone would need to bother setting up a Twitter account to do that. I mean, with all of the names that I hear that aren't Jay Wright, I realize there is a lot of toying going on here already

No, but some of his song titles are appropriate to the BC Hoops coach search:

A Million Dreams Ago
After You've Gone
Down for the Count
Here We Go Again
I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire
I Hear You Screamin'
I'm Sorry for Myself
Spring Will Be So Sad
That's Sabotage
They'll Be Some Changes Made
This Is No Laughing Matter
Who's Sorry Now
As Time Goes By

and last but not least: The Wang Wang Blues (no, I didn't make that up)

Isn't this the asshole who started the Christian to BC rumors?

I thought everything posted on twitter was always 100% right....

We could do worse than Joe Jones, although HJS's head may explode since he's not a good "fit".

Would need a strong Xs and Os guy behind Jones

Given that it was a foregone conclusion, I am a little surprised that the press conference for Schmidt Skerry Christian Calhoon Hopkins Patsos whatever small time coach HJS will pretend to have predicted hasn't occurred yet.

I'm surprised that, with all these jobs opening up (many in the lower ranks), Tim Fuller's never got attached.

No mention of Dambrot either who probably has had the most MAC success over the past 5 years. Mike White's only been mentioned once by Blaudschun. No mention of Cluess who IMO would be best of the MAAC lot.
