Christian got more out of this team than I ever could have expected.

In the small sample size, he is looking a lot better than I initially thought. Not that it means much. Still a lot to prove and a long way to go.

The fact that I never have to watch most these clowns play basketball ever again feels good.

they defended Hanlan really well, and we have no big depth. that's really the whole story. JC coaches great team and help defense, but Aaron Brown was just getting torched out there.

Cue the people bitching about Brown for something even though he was the only guy to show up before basura time. Oh wait, they beat their cue.

By Anthony Davis, do you mean the best center in basketball? I believe your gripe was with my Okeafor prediction, not the obvious observation that Davis is an MVP candidate at 21

Anthony Davis is a PF a lot of the time. but he's the second best player in basketball, so that was not my gripe. Okafor being a top 5 center right off the bat is such a stretch

The "center" plays Eurotrash style, so Davis is really the center.

Putting Steph Curry #1? Interesting.

We should probably discuss next year sans Hanlan before making this statement

Eh. I'd rather watch a team of young, inexperienced actual D1 basketball players lose every game as they get better than watch another year of this team's journey to nowhere

Asik is a solid rebounder, but yeah I agree. Still, AD is a 4.

and... no. I hope nobody thinks Curry is the best overall player in the world.

Best player or best athlete? I assume that you are going to put the outside LB at #1 still. But then, you still think that Dwight Howard can play.

True, that is how he looked. Never thought he would be a great player, but WTF happened to him?

At the risk of sounding like Epstein, the team only had 5 guys out there who "belong" on the court in a game like this. UNC had about 10. We were going to have to shoot the lights out and we couldn't do it. Let's hope some coach somewhere will get fired and we can poach another big 2015 recruit, as we did with Diallo. The path to turning this around is going to be through recruiting and building up actual roster depth. Sadly, I think next year is when we bottom out.

You hit the nail on the head with poaching recruits where the coach gets fired.

With the roster as it currently sits I agree they're going to bottom out. Having said that I think Hanlan stays and BC adds another 2015 plus multiple grad transfers. Not sure any of us know how the roster will look

We should still be an attractive place for grad transfers at every position other than center, as playing time will be very available. I think we NEED one more freshman in the class of 2015, preferably a 4 who can rebound and play decent defense (Michael Edwards from Michigan would fit the bill I think).
