It was pretty simple - I figured Wisco beats Manhattan and that we'd lose to all or at least 3/4 of the 11/28 teams...that and I'm

19-11 (8-8). We'll win our First Round game in the ACC Tournament over Miami and then lose in a close game to UNC in Greensboro to put us at 20 wins and 9 in the ACC. NCAA Tournament as an 11 Seed. First Round exit in the NCAA Tournament to a more athletic team.

The stretch that's a killer goes @ FSU, @ Duke, UNC, VT, @ Clemson, Maryland. That's absolutely brutal and looks like 6 losses to me. The rest of the schedule looks manageable, including the surprise win that we're going to have to open ACC play in the Comcast Center versus Maryland.

Maryland shouldn't be great this year. they won't be bad but they will be in search of their go to guy and inconsistent.

Texas A&M could be pretty down this year as I believe Donald Sloan already graduated. I'm not convinced that we couldn't beat them or Wisconsin who also shouldn't be wonderful. Temple or Cal would be extremely tricky in the finals but A&M and Wisconsin will be down from their usual.

Here's Ken Pomeroy's game-by-game prediction for the season:

http://kenpom.com/team.php?team=Boston%20College

It's better than I expected.
17-11 (7-9)

Win one more game and get to 8-8 in conference with maybe an upset win over UNC and that puts you firmly on the bubble.

Actually if you count up the individual games, Kenpom has BC at 18-10 and that doesn't include the other 2 games they'll play in the Old Spice Classic.

There must be a high degree of error in the KenPom prediction. Since BC's implementing a vastly different system this year, most of his assumptions about the team must be incorrect. For example, his methodology employs tempo as an important predictor.

However this season plays out, I'm really excited to see the new style of play. In particular, I hope Donahue can get these guys playing defense. Despite the shortcomings of the flex, it was a highly efficient offense most years. BC's downfall under Skinner was consistently defense. If Donahue can get his guys to play tough, smart team defense, it would be a refreshing change.

I think Donahue is a good man for the job but it will take him a while to overcome Al's fantastic recruiting.

Because this team has too many goldilocks and not enough dreadlocks. Duh.

It's much easier to be optimistic with Donahue as opposed to Skinner or Spaz. And I believe we only have four games against ranked opponents (Duke, UNC, VTx2)

I don't have the energy for game by game. They will get 20 wins and be a bubble team.

I'm not going to go game by game either but BC will have a decent year. NIT worthy
Reggie is going to be the man
Trapani will be solid
Bikoand Raji will score more
Elmore will be consistently good in the mid range
Rubin is going to surprisepeople in this offense
Im not sure whatto say about Southern, Dunn, or Moton because i am not sure of their role
