2012 East Regional

Boston College has been chosen as the host institution for the East Regional of the 2012 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament, set for March 22-24, 2012 at the TD Garden, the NCAA announced today. BC also served as the host institution for the 2009 East Regional, as well as the 1999 and 2003 NCAA First and Second Rounds.
"We are extremely pleased that the NCAA has decided to return to Boston for college basketball's showcase tournament," Director of Athletics Gene DeFilippo said. "This decision is a tribute to the outstanding cooperation Boston College has received from Mayor Menino's office, the city of Boston, the TD Garden, the Greater Boston Convention and Visitors Bureau and the local business community. We are grateful for their support and excited to have this opportunity once again."
