it's been a week now since BC/GDF has started their job search. One would think if there was mutual interest, then an official meeting would have been set up by now. no?

anyone else find it strange that GDF is NOT attending the Final Four? Every coach worth his salt is there on Friday and Saturday sipping down stiff martinis in hotel suites. One would think this is a perfect networking opportunity. But of course I'm probably living in a dream world since GDF has probably got his blinders on focusing on Donahue or Coen and couldn't care less about a "national search for an enthusiastic Izzo-like leader as he told us all at the presser.

This makes some sense actually, because all eyes will be on Indianapolis and the Katz/Goodman's of the world wouldn't be focusing on it.

Most coaches dont' stick around for the actual games. They sip martinis on Friday and Saturday then fly home. So Pearl not being there for the actual games comes as no suprise. What is a surprise to me is why GDF wouldn't join the party on Fri/Sat. Oh well.
