heading to the game tomorrow. Can we beat PC? This would have been a really stupid question 2 weeks ago....but without Sanders, and playing on the raod in a buzzed-up arena, I have to question our chances. Providence is not very good. If we lose to this team we are in BIG TROUBLE this year.

After the performance in the Paradise "Lost" Jam, I have concerns. Hopefully the team will rally for a game like this against an old Big East rival, but if we lose I think we may need to prepare for the worst. Let's all hope for a quick recovery for Rakim and a righting of the ship tomorrow. :angrychicken

I'm going down as well. Cautiously optimistic -- mostly because I can't stand to be anything else.....I HATE losing to Providence........Hopefully we rebound from last week's disappointment, then go to Michigan and squeak out a win and turn things around in preparation for the ACC opener with Miami.

^ I'm losing sleep over the fact that we have to play at Michigan without Rakim. This is a game that could have really opened some eyes for BC. With Rakim, we beat them, and do our part in the ACC/B10 challenge. Withouth Rakim, it will be tough. But who knows, maybe Al pulls off a WTF win.

The BC website says the Providence game will be on TV on COX.

Anyone know what COX is?

Mean fans down in Providence. I don't think they like us at all.

They're still mad at us for canceling the series because we're afraid of them.

Thank God and Buddha we beat those Friars and their insufferable fans.

Give them credit though they kept playing us when Calhoon lead the BE basketball boycott.

Did this game occur? I was under the impression we had canceled it because we were afraid of Providence.

Yeah -- my crew got in a bit of a scrap at the end when some doink told us to sit down while we cheered the obvious victory with 1.3 seconds left and Trapani icing it at the line. I flipped him a quick bird, which brought a tirade about "typical BC fans, great role model for your kids, etc.," at which point my 14 year old son looked at him, gave him a prolonged in-your-face finger, proclaiming as he and his friends cracked up that HE was MY role model, not the other way around. There has been no prouder parenting moment in the history of parenting. The guy's head nearly exploded......and we just laughed all the way back to Boston.
