There's no overcoming acute, widespread food poisoning. Why wasn't the game cancelled or postponed, rather than letting a bunch of half-sick players do themselves more harm? Isn't there a precedent for such an action in the NCAA?

The story is they thought it was just food poisoning, but later (likely as symptoms didn't get better) the diagnosis was e coli. I'm not a doctor so I have no idea if it is reasonable to not realize the distinction.

It makes sense that 7 guys have it. There were other players that looked to be in bad shape out there.
The players deserve some major credit, win or lose I can't believe they gutted through ecoli and nearly won.

Yes. Ecoli is brutal I'd be surprised if they could beat a D2 team with that

The Food and Drug Administration has issued information regarding this outbreak, which can be found on the FDA website. Students who are experiencing these gastrointestinal symptoms are encouraged to seek medical care, either on campus at Health Services, a local urgent care center, or from their own physician.
