As much as I'm skeptical, if this is indeed the case, then I'm livid. It's pretty low-life to play the medical condition BS if it's not actually true.

He had to be on board, he was 100% responsible for the hire.

Wow. Well, I'm not so sure it was BS to play the medical card though - that's probably how Rogers would prefer for it to be handled.

But throwing Rogers out the window makes it seem like the start to this season was his fault, when that was far from the truth.

WOW, holy shit, I dont like using the medical excuse but I guess he wasnt the guru people said. I kind of feel bad for him, considering it was a limited oppurtunity. I would happy that the administration is doing something and are taking this seriously but its an odd situation.

Thanks ATL.

Whoa. What exactly does one have to do to get fired that quickly? Did he do that crucifix/tuba thing?

Or Rogers is the only competent coach and Spaz and GDT threw him under the bus. Damn, if it's true that he was fired and they floated crap about his health, this just adds to the idiotic and disastrous coach-handling that has occurred over the last 4 years.

Any thoughts on how one gets fired after two games (when it took Tranq two years to "resign")?

You're suggesting they actively want to lose (as opposed to merely being incompetent)?

Tranquil didn't care when GDF tried to call plays during the game. Rogers wouldn't put up with that shit.

I know this directly contradicts my first post in this thread but bite me:

What does it say about a coach and an athletic director that he will not even stand behind personnel decisions by announcing them publicly?

Have a winning attitude and a desire to play exciting football is all you have to do to get canned by Spaz and GDF. I think I'll watch another episode of the Bicycle Man to cheer me up. My living room is very cozy if anyone is interested.

If ATL is indeed correct, I think that the lies for the reason are pretty close to a fireable offense all around. If true, it's a fucking embarrassment to have it come out that they were seeking false sympathy. Man up and fire the guy, if that's what they want. Don't cover it up.

That said, this is also the reason that I'm skeptical. They couldn't be this stupid, could they?
