Finch is still here. I think you are thinking of Phifer. You need to add Mulrooney, Okpara, Bourne, and Hayden-Martin.

I'm not sure Okpara technically qualifies since he quit to become pre-med

That still counts, Spaz destroyed his love for football to the point he didnt want to play anymore.

On the other hand, Spaz deserves credit for fostering his love of science.

I don't remember, is he from Massachusetts? If so, your contention is patently false.

So how many players left from the 2008 class? More than half I'm guessing.

12/29.

That includes 8 starters(not counting Clancy) and 2 of the guys who left would definitely be starters had they stayed.

I always get Finch and Phifer mixed up. I didn't include Mulrooney because he just wasn
t asked back for a 5th. Didn't H-M leave during Jags? Bourne quit because of a bad back. Did Okpara quit during Jags or Spaz?

Don't forget about Ramsey who wanted to leave but apparently wasn't going to be allowed to go where he wanted.

All these guys didn't leave the day before the season started. A proactive coach who wanted to field a good team would have found transfers and JUCOs to fill some of the voids, Spaz didn't and trotted out the "we have a young team" excuse to explain the plays starting with an undersized freshman center jammed into the backfield after the snap. We are what we are.

22/23 is still pretty young when you think of it, especially if you are as old as Spaz, so he will likely still be using the "we are a young team" excuse even if he has a bunch of seniors that are still willing to play for him.

Dom Davis - Atlanta falcons
Max Holloway - best DE maybe best DL last year - just left
Montel Harris - leading rusher at Temple
Justin Tuggle - LB, having outstanding first year at LB at K state
Dom Legrande - mid season all conf at Marshall
Okarakoa - starting for Marshall

two weakest elements of team this year are defense and running game, Spaz ran off 4 guys who'd be starting on defense and the school rushing leader. I guess he showed them! Running off 5 starters can turn a mediocre team into the basketcase we see in front of us.

Crazy how all the above were run off/suspended but Jaryd Rudolph has criminal charges against him and is playing, odd (ellipsis)

FWIW, LeGrande only had 1 year left when he quit so he wouldn't be on the team this year.
Can Spaz be blamed for Tuggle? I thought he left because he didn't think he would get an opportunity at QB with :tranq 's offense?

I think the difference in treatment of Harris and Quinn is the most striking. This is not a statement against Quinn, but against Spaz.
