Predicting the Remainder of the Season

I think we beat Va Tech, sky rocket in the rankings... and end up in a BCS Bowl... Shinskie gets Heisman votes...

I'm staying humble and sticking with 8-4, but I hope you are right.

Winning close games is not a good indicator for us running the table. Letting teams back in games will cost us like it did under TOB. That said the division is not very good and we can win it. Just focus on VT.

Let's not get crazy here. We still have TOB v2.0 at head coach. (He may have already scored his first WTF loss, if Clemson's loss to Maryland is a sign of how bad they really are. I still think Clemson is OK and Maryland was their WTF loss, but time will tell.)

So if you have TOB v2.0 at head coach . . .

Every single game the rest of the way is winnable.

Every single game the rest of the way is lose-able.

Predicting that we'll run the table is not a high-percentage play. I like it, and hope it happens, but the likelihood simply isn't that great.

I think we go 6-1 or 5-2 in the remainder. I don't know who we will lose to other than Va Tech but 5-2 sounds about right. 6-1 is what I am hoping for.

In college football you have to assume 1 wtf loss. We might be tech's. I think you go with 5-2 and hope for 6-1. If we do lose #2 I just hope its not against ND or NCSt. Lose to Central Mich and the ranking go down the toilet.

Realistic: Finish 5-2
Slightly optimistic: 6-1
I LIKE TEH FOOTBALL!: 7-0

I will hold back on predicting the outcome of the post-season for now, but I think we have a good chance of getting into the ACCCG and will most definitely get into some bowl (likely a very crappy one)

I said 9-3 before and I will reiterate it now. 6-1 is way too much to hope for, although possible. I see losses to VT and one of ND/NCSU. Let's hope it is ND.

Looking at the remainder of the schedule every game is equally winnable and lose-able, I don't see any for sure wins or any for sure losses. We will be Tech's WTF loss this weekend, get some love in the polls and stay there until we lose to one of CMich, UNC, or UMD. No way we lose to NCjortswearingState or ND. We miss the ACCCG because Clemson wins the tiebreaker and we go bowling in DC. Eagle Bank here we come!!!

At the beginning of the year I had BC pegged for 5 to 8 wins. I would bump that up to 8 to 10 wins:

Unlikely - VT

Toss Up - NCSU, ND

Likely - UVa, MD, CMU, NC

I'll also predict 6-1 and a trip to Tampa.

I have bashed Spaz plenty, but I will give him some credit. After Clemson he said they would fix the problems with the offensive line. They did. After the FSU game, he said they would fix the problems they've had closing out games. I think he will. It's more than TOB ever said.
