Plus they're just gonna match up John Jack Jim Whatever Lane on Gronk and they'll chip him at the line and he'll be useless.

I agree with Dick Rosenthal on this. I don't see the Pats getting many calls in the SB. But then again, since it's the SB where the Pats' lines have turned to mush the past 2 times, the NFL won't have to do much. I don't expect the Pats to run very effectively against Seattle and if Brady couldn't muster more than 17 points against a mediocre Giants team in 2011, I don't expect much better against a far superior Seattle team. I know Gronk is finally healthy for a change but Seattle has the personnel to neutralize him. In my mind, the Pats need an A/A+ performance from the defense to beat Seattle.

Against the Pats, the only positions that matter are the 4 linemen on the defensive side. The Giants were A+ there. Beating the Pats isn't about how good your D is, it is about whether you can get to the QB quickly with only 4 so you can leave 7 in coverage. The Giants both times were built on that, just a bad, bad matchup. Seahawks don't compare, they are better on the back end and that is how they are built. Brady destroys great secondaries when he has time.

The Pats D is also better than it has been in 10 years and the Seahawks offense isn't very good unless Lynch goes for 200.

Pats win big unless something weird happens. I was actually excited that SEA beat the Packers, because I do not like that matchup. GB has a better dline and can outscore the Pats.

Brady will be unable to destroy anything when Gronk and company are wrestled to the ground at the line of scrimmage while the officiating crew sees nothing.

We'll see. Last thing the NFL wants is Seattle 12, Pats 9.

Plus, the biggest Seattle LB is like 225. I like Gronk in a wrestling match

As is abundantly clear in this thread, nothing is funny when it comes to the Patsies. It's all siriuz biz.

The talking heads in the media, from Jerome Bettis to Troy Aikman, to Mark Brunell, etc, etc, etc, as well as most of the general American public are basically just too fucking stupid to understand a basic concept that decreasing temperature decreases air pressure.

So if half of the people that Jimmy Kimmel interviews at random on the street think that Martin Luther King is still alive and giving speeches, how could they ever be expected to understand the Ideal Gas Law, something that is taught in high school physics? Dr. Michael Naughton, chair of the Department of Physics at Boston College confirmed, “What’s not unreasonable is that footballs initially measured in a typically warm room and then brought outside and used in a 40s temperature field will have dropped one and a half to two PSI.”
http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2 ... egate.html

I was listening to WEEI talk radio this afternoon and a Rams fan from Connecticut calls in. He is now claiming that this is proof that the Patriots cheated in the 2001 Super Bowl. A certain amount of insanity has taken over this process. It does not matter if the Patriots are completely exonerated, there will be many people who will always believe what they want to believe.

The patriots cheated in 2001 and 2004. Someday Marshall Faulk will tell all.

The Patriots didn't need to cheat to beat a loser franchise like Philadelphia.

The Eagles do stink, they haven't won a Super Bowl, I do have a stupid internet friend named Hansen who pleasures himself with a fancy Japanese toilet, but I know something about the patriots. No one outside New England will ever respect the rings.

It doesn't matter I guess, I'd rather my team cheated and got hardware.

I'd give two shits if I thought either allegation of cheating made a fucking difference. But I am not a moron, so I don't.

Deflating balls may or may not matter, it certainly didn't against the colts. But it has been a happy reminder of filming practices, which absolutely may have mattered.

I don't particularly care about any of this but have enjoyed riling up a terrible poster like branchinator.
