19- Isaac Johnson, Everett Ma.

In the light of the Jo Lonn Dunbar Olympic Dive block to win the Clemson game, and Nick Larkin who made two of the best back-to-back spectacular plays in BC defensive history in 2006 versus Clemson to actually save the game for the Eagles, I thank you.

good things happen on a corner blitz. If Johnson stayed back in coverage, Skinner probably would have run it in for the TD.

There was another corner blitz in the 4th when Rollins positively blew up the RB 5 yards behind the line of scrimmage on a delay.

9 DeLeon Gause CB 5-11 174 Jr. MIAMI, FL

The corner blitzes that have saved SPAZ'SASS vs. Clemson in Death Valley.

Sacked the Clemson QB back and FG came up short.

Where are all those peeps who dogged my old ass back on EI when I was saying blitz for eons?

I say......BLITZ!!!!

Someone please refresh my memory: wasn't Johnson recruited by someone who supposedly hated recruiting at BC?

All the good Mass recruits go out of state to play. New Jersey is where the real players come from.

Per HJS, all Mass recruits suck and we should just go elsewhere. I'm sure HJS will be on both sides of this issue as well though.

Isaac Johnson was apparently blocking field goals in pre-season scrimmages. The guy looks like he could be a great special teams player or more.

Jordon Todman wasn't better in anyone's mind other than the Boston Globe. Johnson was better on both sides of the ball.

Todman was (and is) a MUCH more explosive running back than Johnson...moot point as he couldn't get into BC(he got a gentleman's C+ in my class and I coached him in hoop), but he's lighting it up as a true Soph at UConn.

Todman was faster. He was terrible between the tackles - it showed against Everett when he essentially had one big run. Johnson was also the best corner in NE, and was singlehandedly responsible for Josh Adams losing a star after holding him to one catch for 7 yards (Noel helped a little).

Johnson's a nice player but Todman (as a RB) is a level above him...it's really not even close, as Johnson is now primarily a defensive player. I'm biased but Todman was probably the best RB/TB in Mass HS football in a long, long time. Wouldn't surprise me to see him playing at the next level.

Now you are ass talking. A long, long time? Give me a break. Shit, Rob Konrad and Diamond Ferri were better than Todman. Yes, you are very biased. I watched the kid play in three or four games against real talent and thought him a 1-AA talent. Which is about where he ended up, running for 100 yards on 20 carries against Ohio and Rhode Island.
