I encourage people to email Gene/AD department and tell them to make some smart decisions when it comes to parking/tailgating and Gameday. You cant let people park for Gameday and then force them to leave campus only to come back half hour later to start tailgating. I pray to god that BC doesn't fuck this up with their stupid parking and tailgating rules

I just think people will try to take advantage of that no matter what BC says. Even if they say "There will be no tailgating until 12:30" people will try.

I called BC... discussions are on-going with regard to this... decision will be made by Wednesday. Allowing cars to park early makes way too much sense. I will tell you this... even if I don't go to GameDay, I will make damn well sure that I am parked by 10am. I would prefer to actually be drinking a beer on Shea at 12:30... instead of doing shots while I speed through the local streets of Newton trying to avoid traffic. The reason why they WON'T do this (other than it making too much sense) is that they will have to allow EVERYONE on Shea at 12:30. In a normal situation, walking onto Shea wouldn't be permitted until 1pm.

Did you realize that BC is one of only 17 schools that have hosted College Gameday for both football and basketball, and on Saturday will become one of but 13--and the only ACC school--within that group to have hosted the football edition (by far the bigger deal) more than once? It's good publicity, and it'll work out decently enough on screen no matter what crazy campus access restrictions the administration decides on.

In my book, the only thing that would make this any sweeter is if Lou Holtz gags on the marbles in his mouth and chokes to death on live television. Even better if it happens while he's slandering BC again.
