Pats Falcons game thread

Postby b0mberMan on Sun Sep 27, 2009 12:01 pm

I want to a Falcons win not only for Matty Ice, but also so I can check in with my friend who said the Pats are 'unquestionably' one of the three best teams in the NFL and the entire NFC is a joke.

Kind of like teddy, he hasn't gotten over the whole Giants thing. Sad, really.

Anyhow, go Birds!

I'm a Pats fan but today I feel myself rooting for the Falcons. I would love to see Ryan to White all day long, for Fantasy purposes!

Even as a Pats Fan, that roughing the passer call was bullshit. The pussification with regard to touching the QB's is out of hand.

I hope you are right. But the Falcons are very good, and the Pats just aren't. The Pats defense is worse than it has been since the early 90s.

Falcons D is just as bad, though.

The other reason the Pats will lose is that their Offensive Coordinator is STILL FULL RETARD.

No clue. Just judging him by the Tranquill-like playcalling.

They have no 'OC' listed on their roster. My guess is either Bellicheck, QB coach Bill O'Brien, or Associate HC/OL coach Dante Scarnechia is calling plays.

Well based on the first 3 games, they ought to hire one.

Nobody who is rooting for the Falcons can call themselves a Patriots fan.

You still owe me an answer in the Lane Kiffin thread.

The Pats have the 3rd ranked defense so far this season, and they're doing a good job today... not sure why you're so negative on the Pats after just one loss.

Falcons rush D is swiss cheese. Brady doesn't have to get in rhythm if this keeps up.

Amen. Even if Matt Ryan were playing Pittsburgh, I'd be rooting for Matt Ryan to have a good day, but lose in the process.

That's fine, I just don't understand it. The Pats lost a road game. It happens. The Falcons play in the NFC South, so they carry an inflated record.

Either way, I know you like the Pats, unlike Regal. I just don't see a need for concern.

The Falcons shut down the Miami running attack in week 1 and held DeAngelo Williams in check. That last drive notwithstanding, the Pats don't have that kind of running game, and besides, Belichick will abandon it in a half hour or so, like he always does.

I think the Falcons concentrated on stopping the run first, second and third in those games because they weren't worried about Chad Pennington or Jake Delhomme beating them. Brady's start notwishstanding, they have to worry about the pass alot more against New England.

NFL refs, in general, are pretty awful. That had to be reviewed?
