Has anybody ever figured out who leaked the Jags-Gene dick measuring contest to ESPN?

It would been nice if those two guys could have just secretly hated each other behind closed doors, still having Jags coach this year and give Gene a full year to replace him instead of the couple weeks he really had in January.

Meh. Supporters of both sides have accused the other side. I wouldn't be surprised by either. I think they both feel that they play the game better than anyone else and that's part of what made the situation so crappy.

Like ATL said in the other post, Gene was in a very unique situation after this (never mind that he created it) and there were really, very few choices he had. Unfortunate.

Are you saying if that whole fiasco didn't go down he still would have gone for OC of Tampa? I doubt it as he was the OC of GB already and Green Bay was a far better situation than Tampa is now.

If Jags fails in his job hunt, you address the current recruiting issues, but then again I also heard the BC ADMIN baby maker were fucking with Jags on recruits that were borderline or just below, --AND IF JAGS LEAVES-- maybe Spaz gets a pass and help from his goomba Don GDF with the ADMIN MOOKS?

Maybe GDF was jealous or upset Jags was banging cocktail waitresses two at a time and that was a rumor, but many here said they heard that it was true?

That created a huge issue as Jags thought he had been snaked by his mentor. Obviously the Logan part didn't happen. Did Gene bluff that, did Logan lie to Jags and have second thoughts, did John D get it wrong or was Mort just spit balling? I don't know. But it was just more evidence that Jags brought a knife to a gun fight and didn't know who to trust, if up was down, etc.

1--Logan followed Jags to Tampa so I think Jags knew almost immediately that with one phone call to Logan ---- Jags knew GDF was full of shit.

2--Jags may have had one fling and to smear him he banged everyone.

3--It all goes back to GDF's grand stand juvenile deliquent untimatum and Jags is fired. If GDf shuts his mouth, Jags is here after the Jets rejection, and GDF has the premier college coach in December 2009 after JAGS leaves or GDF could fire him?

Jags did a great job recruiting when he was hired. I don't know what happened with recruiting in the second year. But, as far as a game day coach and having his team fired-up and prepared, making adjustments, using his talent well-- he was an EXCELLENT coach. The best since Tom Coughlin. Too bad that he and GDF could not have handled the whole matter better. Basically, we are back to Ed Chlebek. What a huge step down in every way. After this years probable disaster, GDF needs to go and we need a new AD who immediately goes after a real HC who has experience and wants to make BC a power the way Kelly is working magic at Cincy.
