Chimp can Coach any position out there and do it more effectively that the current collection of clowns we have coaching the offensive side of the ball. Dude won in Montreal. Dude won at UW-Whitewater. Sure, he occassionally goes beserk and rips someone's face off, but the chimp can coach.

I have heard from two separate sources that Pete Carrol is considering hiring Coach Chimp to be his new OC after the Washington debacle and there are rumors that Coach Chimp is on John Swarbrick's interview list after Notre Dame fires Fat Charlie at the end of the year. There are persistent rumors that Lou Holtz was half chimp, so apparently the alumni at Notre Dame are completely comfortable with such a move.

The problem with digging up the dead chimp is that it is that it is expensive to re-animate a dead chimp--particualrly one that has been riddled with 9mm slugs. I suppose that the stench of his rotting carcas might serve as a good motivator, but it would be hard for him to select plays off the play chart because, of course, he is dead.

In the very likely event that Gene D sleeps on Coach Chimp and he ends up on the Trojans' staff (no double entendre intended), I think we will go with the team of lemurs and the blue tab, green tab, yellow tab system of play selection.
