Teddy - lay off of Lovie Smith, will you? He called the defensive plays last night and did a fucking good job. You want to take shots at someone, Ron "I like cock" Turner, is deserving.

Did Ron Turner call for that fake punt?

No, nor did Lovie Smith. According to the Sun-Times it was an audible by the long-snapper who thought he caught GB with 12 men on the field. Needless to say, the dumbass Duke graduate fucked it up.

Alex Van Pelt absolutely owns whomever is calling plays for the Patriots. Converting 3rd and 15s while the Pats can't convert 3rd and 4th and 2s. Pathetic.

25 - 24. I'll take it.
Feminism: Eve eats ALL the apples, gives God the middle finder when He confronts her, and has the serpent serve Adam with an injunction ordering him to stay away from her AND to provide her food and shelter because he dragged her out of the Garden.

Once again, an entire region's hopes are crushed by an embarrassing opening game choke against the Patriots. I was at Gillette for the opener a few years back when the Bills lost on a safety.

As I read my hometown friend's crushed gchat and facebook statuses, I'm glad my dad was a Giants fan and I escaped the Bills.

Gotta love McKelvin fighting for that extra, meaningless yard, which gave the Pats enough time to strip him.

I can't wait to hear the "In Belichick We Trust" spin when they announce Mayo is out 4-6 weeks with an MCL sprain.

This comment doesn't make sense. The "In Belichick We Trust" stuff comes after Belichick jettisons a popular, productive veteran, like a Richard Seymour and not when the team suffers an injury.

Correct. I don't know where Foot was going with that. Can't spin an injury.

I meant it with respect to that trade. I know Oakland made an offer they couldn't refuse, but I didn't think it was the right move. I didn't think the Pats could afford to lose depth on the defense because things like the Mayo injury happen in Week 1 every year. He's a brilliant coach but players win games and he got a huge pass from the fanbase on this move. Any Pats fan who downplays the importance of depth on defense needs to be reminded why they lost to Indy in the playoffs 3 years ago.

The Mayo injury has no effect on the fact that the Pats are very deep on the D-Line and lack depth at LB. That's why they are going to a 4-3 primarily this year, so Seymour was the odd man out. Don't be surprised if by midseason, Big Ron Brace is lined up next to Wilfork at DT, with Warren on the strong side and Burgess/Banta Cain on the other. The Pats are very deep on the D-Line.

I don't think any Pats fan needs to be reminded about the importance of depth. They're 2 end-of-game drives away from having 5 titles this decade. In the short-term, the Seymour trade will hurt a bit. He's still a very good player. If Brace, Pryor, etc. step up, then it'll be a good trade. Seymour was a goner after this year. Belichick is clearly gambling that he can adequately replace his production while netting a very valuable pick 2 years down the road.

You asked for this branch, with your cute little Cub-like "almost won 5 Super Bowls" statement.

Just speaking the truth. The 18-1 stuff doesn't bother me anymore. Of course, I'm also assuming that there's no way they lose to the Bears in 2006.
