Given that home field in college is usually worth 3-5 points in college, and that Death Valley is worth five, that means the heads think Clemson is 2-3 points better.

Given that Clemson shitty coaching is worth -7-10 points, that bodes well.

Well Terry is not there anymore and Dabo got Clemson back from being down 24-0 to take the lead 27-24 vs the Wreck. Still, I'd take the seven points. BC has always played Clemson well. So early in the season, BC has played Clemson extremely well (see 2005 and 2006.)

They didn't play them well last year. Our DBs need to have a fantastic game for BC to have a chance. Ford and Spiller will find a way to get into the open field and Davis and Bowman will have to make sure the play only goes for a 20-yard gain instead of an 80-yard gain.

BC has a lot more than a chance to win this game. I have never heard a bunch of people overrate a shit team more than you guys are doing with Clemson. Neutral site, this is close to a pick em game.

I'm expecting a close game, but you gotta admit, last year sucked. First half especially.

Last year we had Crane. This year we don't.

Last year they had a very good QB. This year, meh....

That's really interesting. I was coming over to talk some good football, but seeing as how Clemson is a "shit team" and BC is likely to roll... whats the point? I must admit, I'm shocked to have read that. Perhaps if we had played and owned Kent State and Northeastern we would be more ready for a great BC team (with a fantastic proven QB and tons of depth and experience at LB).

I was told this was the board where knowledgeable BC fans hang out. Was that a ploy?

Most here expect a battle. It has been every year, this year will be no different.

Questions.
Does Spiller ever get big gains when he runs up the middle or only on rushes/passes to the outside?
How do you feel about your QB?
Offensive line?

Look at the score predictions thread before you make a decision of what we think about the game.

To answer your CU questions...........
- yes, Spiller can, and does score running up the middle
- OL is our biggest question mark, in particular Right Tackle
- Our Quarterback this year is better than last years.

I think this game will come down to our OL against your DL. I think our D will look drastically different from anything you've seen this year, and because we haven't played our base scheme yet you won't have any tape on it. I would expect you guys to stack the box in an attempt to stop Spiller. If Parker gets some time, he can light it up. If he's running for his life like the first half of the GT game, this will be a battle

I liked what I saw of Parker in the 2nd half vs. GT. I mentioned on your socut board that it looked like he got some good opportunities down the field because GT's secondary was not doing its job. No idea if that's on them or credit to your recievers, but when he got those looks, he got it there. Big arm, too. Already like him better than Harper, who I thought was a bit overrated due to the ACC being generally QB starved while he was there. Parker seems like a real threat to go downfield.

And I think it's safe to say your defense will be different from NU and KSU. Our Qbs had 7-8 seconds to throw sometimes. The game's going to speed up for them, for sure.

I have yet to see anything from the Clemson that convinces me that they are anything more than the 8-4 team that they always are. And Dabo proved to be a head scratching coach of epic Tommy Bowden proportions in that GT game. You say that they made a comeback - I say if they had a coach they wouldn't have needed to make a comeback.

:kudos for stopping the triple option for one half in a loss. It's been done before.

All of that said, BC could very well lose this game, because BC is not much more than an 8-4 team either. But the comments that teh Clemson is going to blow them out because BC doesn't belong on the field with them are ignorant and stupid.

I keep hearing shit like "the DBs need to play a perfect game", "teh Clemson is too fast" blah blah blah. BC just needs solid play from the QB and a better than average day from the LBs and STs and this will be a toss up.

I hate playing in Death Valley, but I'm flat out positive we're going to victimize Clemson's offense. They're going to run and set up a billion screens with the hope of beating us deep a few times on play action and trickeration. We'll see how that works out. I think this game comes down to the defense. Whichever team is more opportunistic and creates the turnovers wins. I'll bet on us.

I hope the Oline is what was advertised as opposed to what we've seen so far, and the DLine is solid. I'm confident that the other units will play well enough to give us a chance to win.

i think that if clemson defense makes stops and forces turnovers they will dominate. Clemson will make some plays on special teams using there team speed. Also i think parker will make some good throws downfield to move the chains.

I think if BC makes stops, forces turnovers and makes special teams plays with their team speed they will dominate. I also think that the team that scores the most points will win and that they won't need to turn the lights on because it will be a day game.

The passing game under Dabo is more vertical. I have only seen a couple of screens this year. Now he throws more wheel routes and post patterns. I think Dabo has done a good job so far. The team has no quit and plays and hits full speed all the time.

This has nothing to do with the game itself but whatever happened to Willie Korn? Wasn't he supposed to be like the best QB since Jesus?

It was tough to tell. No one could ever be sure how good Jesus really was. All the coaches ever let him do was hand off to the running back.

Here's the thing. For BC to win, You'll have to get a good pass rush OR the DB's will have to play really, really well. BC does not have the speed to match what we can put on the outside. You just don't. If we can buy Parker the time to go deep down the field, he will find those guys. Oh, and I've been reading about how all Clemson has is Spiller and Ford. Keep an eye on the TE's. They are talented and very underrated. We also have a stable of backs that can perform. Biggest question for Clemson is if we can fix the weak link at Right Tackle. The starter got benched after being absolutely abused by GT. If his replacement (last years starter) can be any kind of improvement, and if the younger WR's can catch the ball, The Tigers will be tough to keep up with. If we continue to see the drops, or if a DE comes off the edge unblocked on every snap, this will continue to be a very up-and-down offense, with big plays but no consistency.

how is BC 3-1 against Clemson the past four years? Or did Clemson only get SPEED this year? Or did BC have SPEED those years and lost it this year? SPEED.
