Doubler Divisional Games --GOTTA WIN 'EM!

Winning your 5 divisonal games versus your toughest competition for the division title is crucial since the first tiebreaker is a killer, head to head,

If BC beats Clemson at Death Valley, FSU, NCSU and at home, BC gets a huge advantage with each having one loss.

If BC beats Clemson, BC would be 1-0 and Clemson 0-2, and even if BC lost to VT and UNC, or 2 losses, BC still holds the tiebreaker edge with a tie record.

TOUGHEST TO LEAST...

ATLANTIC

1--At CLEMSON
2--FSU
3--NC STATE
4--WAKE FOREST
5--AT MARYLAND

COASTAL

6--AT VT
7--UNC
8--AT FAGALIERS

If BC can upset the pissed off Tigers, who know their season is on the line, that would be a huge lift.

If not BC has to beat FSU.

I do not see NCSU with Nemo beating the top 2 with that play calling deja vu.

4-1 in division and 2-1 for 6-2 might eck out a shot at the title.

74 is right. All of a sudden, CU is a huge game. We actually have a chance to go to the ACCCG if the Oline decides to run block starting next weekend.

We all knew that this game was going to have a lot riding on it, but now even more so with both FSU and Clemson being one loss teams. Our team will go in ready but I'm just worried that Clemson will be playing like this:

:angrychicken
"...and Lane Stadium goes silent..."

"On a red bandanna night, it's going to be a red letter day"

"Drive by Girardi and a save. Rebound...SCORE!"

"Stroud in trouble and Stroud is sacked again! Oh-jah-BO!"

I have posted this a zillion times, but the next game is always the biggest in BC history.

Wake played 2 tough teams and some had them dead at halftime and I posted plenty of time to go.....

FSU is also at home..

Our season is now one axiom, one adage, one deal...

Tuggle and his execution, poise and decision making and a good balance on offense so our defense does not get worn out. We have the best offensive weapons in our schools history

We have our best skill players....WR, RB, LB, TE good DL depth, DB's...

Our OL may step up since last week was whatever, but make no mistake, this is the "Matt Barkley Moment" for Justin Time Tuggle and he was redshirted!

Hey even Shinskie has to ready.

I may be stupid, senile and slow....and did I say...oh nevermind..

That 2 extra days of rest and Parker's performance against high speed competition of GT, has me leaning towards picking the Tigers.

BC falls behind early say 13 or 14-0, I can't see Tuggle pulling a Parker.

Did anyone invite the members of The Clemson board, or are we going to try to keep the result of the game a surprise?

Initial line: Clemson -6.5

I go with BC on this one if Tuggle/QB can handle away game pressure. I think Clemson will be vastly underestimating us.

First of all, I think Dabo Sweeney is a bad choice to lead Clemson.

Anyways, the key is containing Spiller.

Ps - 25 of their players list Sociology as their major. And they wonder why they underachieve..

Right on. We need to make Kyle Parker more uneasy than our QB. I think we have the pass rushing for it, if used properly.

If you want pass rushing over run stopping, start Holloway over Ramella and Ramsey over Giles. Mark my words, that will get the job done, but will sacrifice run defense.

our secondary can stop kyle parker. It's spiller I am worried about. We need run blitzes and we need to load the box. Bring Davis or Bowman down occasionally. Let them hit spiller, see if he wants to run after that. Overall I think we can win this game if we execute.

I said that to get 74 going, but I want the run stoppers in there. Spiller is a bonafide threat, Parker is still an unknown. I haven't seen much of him, but his completion percentage is currently under 50%. I'm comfortable focusing on Spiller and letting Parker try to beat the defense.

I agree. Ramella and Albright can tackle guys that run at them. But they suck on the pass rush and each has problems setting the edge. If our defense is going to be stellar, Kuechly will need to be awesome, Rollins and Gause will need to tackle well and the OLBs will need to set the edge.

I just think that the Clemson's speed at RB and slot receiver will be a bit much for the BC LBs. I also think BC's offense is going to score. That's why I predict a game in the 30s.

I would like to see Tuggle start but let Uncle Dave play also the way they have been doing it. If it is clear from the 1st half that one is playing head and shoulders above the other then go with him in the 2nd half. I would also like to see Finch continue to get some carries; he looks pretty good. The keys to the game are our D and our O's ability to run the ball. We need a big game from Harris to take the pressure off our QB's to have to throw too much.

I agree with playing Finch. I have no desire to see Uncle Dave or Marscovetra again this season, period.

No. We need the offense in a rhythm for conference play. The QB carousel hinders that. I hated when TOB used to play that cute game where the backup played the first series of the second quarter. I think Tuggle should have played the entire second half against Kent State.

I think this is part of the "hidden packages", i.e. "stuff they didn't waste by putting on film for Kent and NU." I think the special packages, like Haden/Harris, bootlegs and rollouts for Tuggle, and options/QB draws will be part of the regular arsenal starting this week.

This is why they will name a starter even if they don't name a starter. Although Tuggle and Shinskie have run the same vanilla offense so far, the playbook opens if Tuggle is the QB, and you need to practice those plays. QB draws, spread option, triple option, bootleg, roll out - you won't bother if Shinskie plays.

I wasn't counting, but I don't recall a single two-back set used on Saturday. I'm sure they played it close to the vest, but still. We saw a lot of multi-tight end looks, I expect more of that in the future.

I watched both games in their entirety and we used the two back once or twice in the NU game and never in the KSU game if I am correct. I think we are probably hiding it.

I'm more concerned about the Oline play than anything else which has been a bit disappointing. I knew DLine would take a step back because of the losses at DT. But I'm at a loss about why we weren't more dominant against lesser competition. I expect Clemson to score points, and it will be imperative for the offense to be prepared to match. I'm hoping the Oline is what we expect them to be this year - a strength of the team.

I hope we do open it up a little bit for Clemson on Saturday...it would be a nice little advantage to be able to throw some looks at them thet they, most likely, would be relatively unprepared for. If the D plays well, (holds Clemson to 20 or less), I really like our chances in this game.

I think Spaz was quoted as saying the same sort of thing re practice. They need to decide for themselves who the real starter is and practice with him all week. Let Clemson and the press play the guessing games all week.

By the way, didn't BCWest say that before the KSU game, that Shinskie was the favorite? Hopefully that mindset has changed in light of Saturday's game.

I think we need to not kick the ball to CJ Spiller at all. He is a proven return threat, and there's no sense in giving him the chance to take one back. We need one solid corner to cover Jacoby Ford and the LBs and Dline have to be ready to stop Spiller out of the backfield.

Our offense needs to chew up clock with ball-control. I think playing in Death Valley will be tough for Tuggle or Shinskie.

Idon't like our chances.

Give him a solid week of fast apced progressive practice.

Then we have a chance.

Parker looked sharp in the second half... Clemson will come out smoking.
