Postby eaglefanhilbillyland on Thu Sep 10, 2009 9:00 pm

Im on the road this weekend, thought i could get them game where i am(cox) but apparently cannot. There is someway to sign on remotely, but i believe i had to do this before i left. Is there a way i can either sign on remotely or get the game through a link?

We'll see what we can come up with. The major problem is that shockdoct is the one that usually handles this and he is going international over the weekend. If anyone has any suggestions or has a solution, please feel free to add a suggestion.

There is a strong chance I will be at my destination by 2:00 pm. But I do not wish to make any promises that could be left unfulfilled.

Giving it further thought...
If I arrive as expected @ 12:30, I could provide the stream, but it would likely be only video and no audio.

I use a webcam to source the audio and a video camera software to pull the video from my screen.

Then a media encoder to stream it to the justin.tv flash media servers.

How technically savvy are you? :ugeek:

I have no webcam (easy snoop) is it possible without one?

But I am somewhat tech savvy.

I've never found a way to stream the audio from your sound card inside your computer directly to the feed.

This was posted before. Repeat it because it works, and easy. There are 3 here that watched the game Saturday using the same User and Password.

Question on the ESPN360 FAQ section: http://tinyurl.com/lp28dz Question 7
****************************
I have ESPN360.com at home, but don't have access now. What should I do?
Customers of ESPN360's affiliated internet providers can see all the events on ESPN360.com from any high-speed connection using the Remote Access feature!

While on your home connection, log into your ESPN.com account, then head to ESPN360.com and click on REMOTE ACCESS.

You will be prompted to sync your ESPN.com account to activate the feature.

Then, when you're away from home, just log into ESPN.com and you'll be able to see the 3,000+ yearly events on ESPN360.com!
**************
Simple.
Find out who carries ESPN360 in your area, which cable system. The site itself will help guide you. Most folks don't even know they have it.
Call family, friend, whatever and tell them to follow the above instructions (Note: you should have given them your ESPN User and Password).

They can even be 3,000 miles away; it does not matter.

Once the ESPN360 account is set up in the cable system that offers ESPN360, the remote access allows you exactly that: remote access.
Have a family member in Pinehurst this weekend and he will log in using the pass and UID.
It takes about 5 minutes the first time, as you have to download MoveNetwork to decode the ESPN signal.
After that, every time you log on to ESPN, you are good to go.

Taking my notebook to local pub to hook up the HDMI to a giant LCD.

It really is easy. Plus, you will access to a lot of other events besides BC football.

This is a stinking lie. I activated my ESPN360 remote account before traveling overseas.

When I logged it, it said "WELCOME, AMAZING DAVE" (that's my real name). Then it showed me all my viewing options which consisted of paying a gajillion moon dollars for 1 day's access, or 10 gagillion moon dollars for a month.

Bite me, Eisner. :irr

I was international last week but the house's cable (dish net i think) had access to 360. Unfortunately, it was Mexican 360 and NCAA football was not available... a bunch of BS.

I'm not too sure how Justin.tv works, but could you go to presentation mode on your laptop/desktop and export it directly that way? Or export it to a TV with audio and Video, then just use 1 device (video recorder or webcam or laptop with built in microphone & webcam?)

As I said in an earlier post, you can get software that will stream your desktop as a "webcam" but you need some sort of audio. I use the microphone on the webcam that is built into my laptop whenever I stream the BC games.

It is def not ideal, but I still have yet to find a solution of using the audio directly from your soundcard.

EDIT - And who could forget last year before I realized such applications existed when I pointed my laptop at the tv for the clemson game prior to my trip to the bar... :shock

Looks like you guys were out of the US market; hence, ESPN360 has different rules and transmissions. Don't know.

RM, does the remote access work for you here in the US? ESPN saw your IP was offshore and it was a different situation.
google adsense knows I am in a specific zip code and my ads are different that yours. ESPN360 most likely programs to geographic areas.
Next time change your IP to US address and I bet you it works. The same girls you see on a site saying they are in your city are also in my city.
You and I know that but think of PT Barnum.

Don't have Dish so I don't know. Will look into that.

From experience, last Saturday 3 folks were watching the game: 1 in California, 1 South and the other in Boston and me in PR.

A great place to get listings of all sports in HD.

For what it's worth.

You can take your Notebook into a commercial establishment, hook up wireless (or lan cable if possible) and either view the game on the NB or connect the VGA/HDMI port to the TV.

Called ESPN360 and she said "The service is free. You can show it anywhere." Asked her "What if the bar/rest. manager doesn't believe that?"
She said to have that person call ESPN360. They will be open tomorrow.

You can call ESPN Customer Care at 1-888-549-ESPN.

That was uncalled for. UNCALLED FOR I SAY. Moderators, please take note.

Maybe you should just use espn 360 - which, incidentally, is the future of HDTV once Microsoft and Intel has their way over Verizon and Comcast.

Those of us in Cablevision land, oppressed not only by the Dolan's basketball team but also their ghey business dealings, want to know if there is a way we can watch the game. Get with it tech-savvy at-risk youth.

Can you access it through ESPN360 via: [http://www.tvover.net/TVStation,direct,568.aspx ]?

It worked for me last week and I was in a fairly remote location. Worth a shot.
