Maryland is pretty bad. Turner (their starting QB) won't play. MD is in the same class as UVA so I'd certainly expect we should beat them but if Spaz and Co. decides to play down to the competition again we're in trouble.

MD is terrible.

if Turner doesn't play and we lose to them, then i'm jumping on board the fire Spaz & Co. train. this would be a WTF loss and easily our worst loss of the season (even more so than the beatdowns we were given by Clemson and VPI).

You have a hot QB at Maryland, Senior Day, last game for a great head Coach who has faltered and a Terp team with a horrible, porous defense.

How bad do you have to be to stop Shinskie after the past 2 weeks in zombie world and throwing floating and fluttering ducks around?

Shinairski gave UNC 21 points and he will give the Terps some early Chistmas presents too.

The Terps lost a few tough ones and I see BC's defense as getting tired when Shinairski falters and he will because he is who is is and we are what we are.

The MD FG icker had nice range and 70% over 40 yards or a distance too far for APO with the restrictor plate covers.

I see the Terps coming out fired up on Senior Day and getting some early breaks and stomping BC by more than 10 since our offense is putrid and I saw some dropped passes.

The Turtles will be munching on roasted ducks courtesy of Shinairski.

Like I said last week, I got no faith in Spazoo, Topoo and McGoo.

Since BC began ACC play, I think JoLonn Dunbar may lead the team in TDs versus Maryland. Him being out in '07 was a huge reason we didn't win (for his defense and sheer dominance of the Terps). I will try to find the stats to back up my bold claim.

Edit - Ryan had 5 total, Dunbar is 2nd with 3 (1 in '05 and 2 in '06).

I posted this on the score guess contest thread, but it bares mentioning again here.

This Maryland team is the worst in the conference. Hands down. They aren't even on UVA's level. Virginia at least had a defense that they could rely on to make the game interesting. Maryland is something like 88th in total defense and 100th against the pass. Their offense is already 101st in the country, and that's WITH Turner and Da'Rell Scott...neither of whom will be playing in this game...so probably bump them down about 15 spots.

The reason they were competitive against FSU is because FSU's defense is even worse than Marylands...don't get excited about that. Everyone is reading way too much into the Carolina game. These are totally different teams and what they've seen the last 2 weeks against terrific pass defenses (Virginia's is top 25 nationally) won't apply at all in this game against an absolutely AWFUL Maryland team.

If BC doesn't hammer Maryland in this game...even on the road...I'll be stunned.

On a lighter note...anyone making the trek to College Park for this one? I am. Hoping to see a decent turnout like 2007.
