The Summer's Eve Bowl

Postby AMDG on Tue Nov 17, 2009 11:02 am

This Saturday the number 1 and number 2 schools in fan douchebaggery face off against each other.

While ND has longer history of douchebaggery than sUeConn I will be rooting for ND to beat sUeConn eleventy billion to 2. These are the reason why:

• While ND fans have a longer history of douchebaggery, sUeConn has a higher percentage of fans that are douches. A trip to Notre Dame stadium is a pleasant experience and even in defeat the vast majority of the fans are gracious and friendly. One need only look at BC's one trip to the Rent and you see that a trip there is comparable to a trip to Mogadishu or Morganhole.

• sUeConn fans match ND fans in arrogance. ND at least has a history (although it is growing more and more distant) that warrants a level of arrogance.

• An ND victory will bring more schadenfreude. A large element of the ND fan base wants a loss in order to hasten fatties exit. It will be great entertainment to read the sUeConn board.

• ND won't play us because we won't agree to an unbalanced (6-4) series. We won't play sUeConn because they sued BC. The latter is the bigger example of douchebaggery.

• A victory by sUeConn over a sucky ND team will bring the douchebaggery of their fans to a higher level. They will play it as the greatest win in Eastern college football history. In short, a sUeConn victory will elevate the overall levels of universal douchebaggery, while an ND victory will have no impact.

Don't forget at 4-5 UConn needs to win 2 of their last 3 to be bowl eligible for the 3rd year in a row. Fighting for a trip to Toronto! What a league!

Don't forget the Big East Transitive Property if UConn beats ND, that means they beat us and will have passed us as the premier football team in New England.

They already think they have. It was the Big East "co-championship" (the celebration of which is one of the highest levels of douchebaggery in recorded history) that made them think it. That reminds me that the within a week of the co-championship shellacking from One Tooth U one of the chief douches started a thread on their board making fun of BC's bowl streak - something most BC fans recognized as a joke. When I posted response pointing out the cognitive dissonance being exhibited, the cowardly douche yanked the thread instead of responding to my point.

Haven't they anyway? I mean, they beat Baylor, who beat Wake Forest, who beat Maryland, who beat Clemson, who absolutely pounded BC. So UConn's better than BC by about 42 points. Clearly, the torch has already been passed.

This isn't enitrely accurate using the bilingual transitivo property, since BC's women's futbol team just beat UConn in the NCAAs, thus making them the premier futbol/football team in New England.
