Evening Football Thread

Postby shockdoct on Sat Nov 14, 2009 7:58 pm

After an exhaustive search on the guide of my dish, I finally found the TCU game. Unfortunately the announcing is on par with the BC game and I had to mute it.

Other than that...TCU 45 yd TD run on the first drive. Kickoff to the Utes. The returner gets blown up and fumbles the ball at his own 20. TCU pulls an Apo and misses the chip shot. 7-0 horned frogs.

Are we rooting for ND to win so that Fat Chuck will be back?

I'm pulling for Pitt to win big. ND gets embarrassed and the Gator Bowl looks ridiculous when they pick ND over Pitt.

Next week, I hope ND beats UConn by 10 touchdowns.

Well barring a miracle, this TCU game is already done.

Who was it on this board who said Golden Tate is too much of a tweener to play in the NFL?

Example 5,000 why college refs suck: reversing the incomplete call for a fumble. I think I'm more shocked that such a crucial call went against ND.

I am so glad the BC team came out with the same killer instinct and intensity that the TCU team did tonight here in Cowtown.

Simply a gorgeous weather night, cool breeze and coeds by the boxcars.

Spazoo is a Puscadore.
FALL 2011 WILL BE THE BEST EVER FOR BC SPORTS AT THE HEIGHTS!

Rettigun leading our Football team to 14-0 and a Title!

The Hoops Freshman starting a new Legacy!
The Icemen returneth for another shot at Title 5!

GO EAGLES!

It was a fumble. They got the call right.

Who cares. It ain't the 1840s.

My quote about tate is that he is an nfl guy, but the translation will be interesting and I'm ingterested to see if he does 10 years in the league or 2.

That was a pass; very clear.

Looked to me like the DE tipped the ball out of his grip just before he moved his arm forward; the ball moved forward because it was still pinned on his hand. But if you looked closely, you could see that his hand was closed almost in a fist when the ball came forward. Tough to overturn the incomplete and a tough call in that spot, but I do think it was right.

This. It was a tough call for ND given the situation but the ball had actually popped out of Clausen's hand before he swung his arm forward. I can't believe BC lost to that horrible, horrible Notre Dame team. What a shame. Fire Spaz.
