Caveat on the second no. BC may one day be good at sports... but, that will be only when college football continues to eat itself to the point where we are back playing Holy Cross, Stonehill and Curry. I, for one, am greatly looking forward to those biannual Maple Syrup tours when we roadtrip to face the Catamounts.

Meh. I am more looking forward to the upcoming schedule of Georgetown, Fordham, Holy Cross, St Joe’s, Loyola, John Carroll, Xavier, Loyola of Chicago and Marquette all vying for the prestigious Ignatius Cup!

The only thing off about the above analogy is that BC football died years ago. I suppose you could say that BC football died indigent (which is pretty much true) and nobody cared enough to claim the body (which is also true), so it was lying in a drawer in the morgue for quite some time and it looked like it was going to simply be dumped in some potter’s field. Hafley departing for Green Bay was like a DNA test coming back from the ME’s Office which then lead to the family being notified. Now we are having a closed casket wake because the despite being on ice, the program is pretty decomposed. The wake will end and the funeral will be held after Blake and Leahy make whatever shit-ass hire they are going to make and then we can put it in the ground until one of you fucking degenerates digs it up and rides the pony on it.
