Too bad this game didn't get a 3:30 time slot, but looking forward to it just the same. Bringing a group of about 10 people up for this one.

This game is at Noon because BC is traveling on a short week to Pitt on Thursday.

All 6-3s are NOT the same.

If you go 6-3, and you beat 3 nationally ranked teams in a row, then you become ranked for the first time in over ten years.

However, if you are 6-3, and you really haven't beaten anyone, then you don't even make the "other receiving votes" category. That said, if BC beats vpi, I think they may get to #25 in the country (deserving or not.)

Then why wasn't the time announced at the beginning of the season?

BC made the “other receiving votes” category and received 2 votes

Oh really? 2 points for others receiving votes? Which poll?

None of these.

Beating 4-5 Virginia Tech at home will not put them in the top 25, nor do I think it provides them any votes

Well, you may be right. I don't know. But I think math will stipulate that by virtue of 7 wins after 10 weeks, BC might "bubble-up" into the top 25. Remains to be seen. Hopefully they win and then on Sunday, we can speculate.

Hafley today:
Shitta will most likely be out for this game. Kye I would say it's looking good. Broome I would say it's looking good.

TC’s weak-ass arm burns is at least once a game. Today, it’s twice before the first quarter has ended. Kid is a worse thrower than Ty Murphy or Jeff Smith.

You almost have to admire the commitment Castellanos has for throwing the ball to the other team. Run the ball at will and score touchdowns? Nah let’s throw the ball to the other team instead. VT gladly taking advantage of this program’s commitment to being retarded.

Meanwhile, Drones is literally running over the D who seems afraid to hit a QB. Just playing flat, shitty football in all phases… like the first 2 games of the year.

He’s running the plays the coaches are calling. This is on the staff. VaTech has no respect for us if they’re going with an onside kick. 3 turnovers in the first quarter. They can run the ball and are doing it. We can run the ball and are choosing not to.

Both are true. Coaching staff has extra chromosomes, we all know this. They are enablers at this point. Do they not notice Castellanos looks like Lamar Latrelle throwing the javelin?

A QB (like Drones) would have completed both passes that were underthrown by TC. But, your point is a good one… the staff at this point should realize that TC can’t throw in a drop back set. His completions are almost universally from broken plays.

This color guy is basically dragging the BC staff indirectly by praising the VT OC for calling the same play over and over again because we can’t stop it.

Ha… I called the game (and stop watching) when it was early second quarter… somehow it seems it only gotten worse. Would be smart to get TC out of the game and go with Morehead. If TC is hurt, might as well get him rest and not risk further injury. Get Emmet some snaps to knock the rust off should we need him. And, let’s be honest, EM can at least throw the ball beyond five yards without a hang time clock appearing on the screen.

Maybe "the path" was misunderstood? Maybe what "the path" really involves is getting embarrassed at home by Va Tech, followed by a close loss to Pitt, followed by an embarrassing loss to Miami...leading to firing Hafley. :popcorn :boxer

Get your tickets early for the Fenway Bowl! Should be a dandy against North Texas or UAB! The temperature will be a balmy 28 degrees at kick off.

A friend pointed out to me today that two years ago BC beat Missouri and the general consensus was that Hafley had out coached Drinkwitz. A season and a half later Missouri has developed into a top 15 program that just prison raped #14 Tennessee and is poised to finish in the top 10, while BC got prison raped by a bad VT team at home and is likely to lose on the road at Pitt and at home against Miami before getting waxed in the Fenway Bowl by a team that was likely playing in Conference USA or an even lower tier conference two years ago.

And it isn’t about ripping Hafley because he isn’t head coach material or getting mad at the sock puppet AD or cursing Scumbag Marty for saddling us with this train wreck. It all falls on the implacable foe of BC Athletics, Bill “Light in the Loafers” Leahy, SJ. That is who needs to be defenstrated and nothing will get better until it does. Frankly, with the way Pope Commie has destroyed the Catholic Church in the last decade it is time to get the El Salvadoran Death Squads limbered up and ready to do what they do best—liquidate Jesuits. They obviously have important work to do in Rome but one can hope they can stop by Chestnut Hill and make things better.
