I hope 31 and 4 die in a fire and yes, the refs in typical ACC fashion have let them get away with being what they are—a shitbag fake gangsta wannabe from the Philly suburbs and a degenerate hillbilly from the wastes west of Charlotte. So fuck them and fuck the officials, BUT if you know that the refs consistently screw us at every term don’t give them a bat with which to hit you. Motherfuck the dreadlocked asshole from here back to Blacksburg, but do it after the game.

It’s amazing how even though Jurkovec put up Grosel like numbers 7/13 112 0/1, it was the threat that he could do more opened up things for the offense so much tonight.

It’s amazing how even though Jurkovec put up Grosel like numbers 7/13 112 0/1, it was the threat that he could do more opened up things for the offense so much tonight.

If I was giving out game balls it would be DeBerry, Phil, Mahogany.

Not only vertical threat but the fact that he is a running threat helped the running game too. Different feel right from the get-go.

I’d argue that the Jurk we saw tonight… who spent most of his time throwing Grosel-like pop-flies would have this team undefeated in an unimpressive, Wake-like fashion. The fear that there is a chance he could grip the ball long enough to hit one of the many wide open receivers 1/3 of the time, is enough to remove folks from the box. But, the threat to run is what truly separates him and what turns those 4 inexcusable losses to Ws.

I was sure a stupid and pointless fight was going to break out by the end of the game. VT was taking cheap shots and getting away with them and both teams kept shit talking the whole way. Add into that two teams having bad years and refs not doing shit and it looked like a recipe.

I think if we ran up the score it would’ve happened.

Jurkovec’s throws will get crisper week by week as the pain recedes and he shakes off the rust. But if Wake remains undefeated when we play them Thanksgiving weekend, the ACC crew will desperately protect them. Phantom pass interference, poor spots, quick whistles and slanted enforcement on holding are all in play. We’ll need Jurkovec at his best to win a shootout against a high-powered ref-assisted Wake team trying to squeak into the CFP on behalf of the conference.
