Okay in watching this game, Grossel is a far-below-average ACC QB. For someone who has been in college football for so long, making these kind of passes and going 4-for-9 with 37 yards against Temple, unacceptable. He should be 8-for-9 with no ints. Might as well get the frosh ready. With Grossel at the helm, they win 2 or maybe 3 ACC games this year, maximum.

And the pass blocking has been horrible. Hafley and Cignetti should just go max protection, send 2 (maybe 3) downfield and give Grossel enough time to wait until any one of them get open. Then throw the duck pass to them. He's been in college football long enough to check down on all his receivers. He should not have to be running for his life back there.

It’s been a good long while since a BC OL lived up to their hype.

RBs are averaging 3 yards a carry

Some bad reads by Garwo on several plays hasn’t helped that. There have been some big holes on many of the plays.

I’m not a Grosel guy, but he’s way better than the other options. He’s really only made 2 bad throws

I missed that third quarter, but Grossel really looked limited in the first half. He didn’t show many signs of a guy capable of throwing for 520 yards. Tough to feel confident about him going forward.

Generally quarterbacks look better when they're allowed to throw on something other than a third-and-forever.

Running into 9 in the box and Grosel throwing on 3rd and 8+ is terrible to watch.

Lack of a pass rush is by design. Dropping 8 is mostly confusing this guy and he can't run. Not a fan of that usually but it worked.

Yeah given way D is playing there was zero concern of Temple putting up 3 TDs in 10 minutes

What is the point of running it up the middle over and over? Is that going to be the game plan against Clemson? If the whole season depends on our passing game's ability to score points, why wouldn't we give them a chance to get in sync - especially with a new quarterback?

Why did we have Jurk slinging the ball all over the place up 35 against Colgate but we turned off the passing game at halftime against Temple? There is something seriously wrong with this coaching staff.

The point is to end the game quickly and with no more mistakes or injuries. What's the point of letting a bad QB try to run up the score in a 28 to 3 game.

Jobs done. Move on. Boring as shit but effective.

Mizzou WILL test them. They are a below average SEC team. But BC hasn't had much luck lately against below average Power-5 opponents (Purdue and Kansas anyone?)

This... completely sucks. The rest of this team has its flaws, but with a healthy Jurkovec we could have made a lot of games very interesting. This just reminds me of too many previous BC teams, with the frustrating exception that we actually have capable WR now, but literally no one to get the ball into their hands except on a jet sweep.

Hafley is just trying to make do and make a bad situation work to the best of his ability. He knows he doesn't have an ACC caliber QB. He knew that last year which is why he went the transfer portal route. Jurkovec getting hurt was a complete disaster. But its standard operating procedure for BC football for the last 30+ years. Paul Pete gets hurt (twice) costs the team a Fiesta Bowl appearance. Matt Ryan hobbles around with a boot on his foot his whole junior season. 2008 Chris Crane gets hurt and BC loses the ACC championship game (because they didn't have another QB.) 2017 QB goes down for the season in the first ACC game, they go 0-8 in ACC play (no QB.) 2019, same thing, QB goes down, Daz get fired. Now 2021 Jurk goes down. Just standard operating procedure no matter who the coach is.

The ACC is so bad that they can still win all but Clemson. The just won't with Grosel. But they aren't falling off a cliff.

I think 10-2 is still in play for this year but prob will end up dropping 1-2 games they should still win to end up with 8 or 9.

I love the enthusiasm hansen but, no. I don't think so.

6 wins, maybe 7 if they are lucky vs Mizzou. BC doesn't have a QB.

Evidently no space hasn't looked at the other ACC box scores yet. Maybe while he is waiting at the airport during a break in the Theranos trial if no one gets arrested for kidnapping in AZ and hires a lawyer and the Prince agrees to testify he can check those out.
