Maybe the Jets were brilliant, can take Lawrence with the third pick.

That'll do it for this game. Devastating blow for the Ryan Day haters.

Outcomes like tonight are all the evidence that “the cabal” ever needs to exclude the Group of 5 from the playoff, forever.

Well... you may not have watched the games... but, you at least read this thread.
I’d take the points in both games. I think ND can cause Bama problems if they play their game (and ND fans hope that Kelly got his big game jitters out of his system in the ACCCG embarrassment). I think OSU wins outright. They’ve built up Clemson to be their Super Bowl. If they don’t win tomorrow, you’ll see a detiering of OSU to Oklahoma status (only good team in a shitty, has-been conference). At the end of the day, for all its hype, this ain’t a vintage Clemson team. Great QB and RB, but the rest of the team is among Dabo’s most banal. The D, in particular, is underwhelming.

Venebles gets a ton of credit when they play good d -- he deserves a lot of blame tonight. 9 possessions and 7 TDs with an interception on a terrible ball. Can't stop the run, cover the receivers, or get to the QB plus the defense has been "not ready" on a number of plays. OSU has a great line and some really good offensive players, but they didn't look this good all season.

It’s understandable as it’s weird to think of college football on New Years Day.

That said, you missed nothing. Kelly did what Kelly does in big games. A flawed Clemson team showed what we already knew... that Dabo is a recruiter who delegates to two head coaches. We always said Dabo is a smart version of Daz. That was shown again tonight. When Elliott couldn’t make the trip, there was panic in Dabo’s interviews knowing full well there wasn’t shit he’d be able to do to make up for the absence.

Best game was Georgia/Cincy in the Peach.

I saw the last 10 minutes of the Cincinnati choke. Was awesome. Forgot the BCS was on. The new Cobra Kai episodes were good, however.

ND gashed Clemson on the ground and abused them with tight ends. BC killed them with the deep ball. OSU took pages from both those games. That D has been trash all year. OSU exposed it more than most.

Clemson is where they are because the O has been good enough to carry the D. But, their playcalling in this game has made it impossible for them to gain any momentum. Elliott’s value has gone through the roof seeing how bad Clemson is without him.

Atlanta is such a perfect fit for both. But... let’s not kid ourselves here. HCRD did not make Justin Fields. He was the #1 recruit in the country who was considered a better prospect than Trevor Lawrence (and Jurk). All HCRD did was offer him playing time. If Haskins doesn’t stupidly leave early, Fields is playing just as well at Oklahoma. Where Day should get credit is making Haskins appear not shitty.

I just can't get over the fact that there was a point in time that, that buffoon Addazio was making Ryan Day run a Run, Run, Pass, Punt offense.
